  1. Will most likely finish as 2nd best premiership striker ever and England's highest goal scorer on those ankles.
  2. Any sort of transfer fee for Kane is no sort of yard stick for Richarlison.
  3. Ancelotti obviosely likes to buy players he has worked with before. So would hazard a guess that Richy is somebody high on his radar. I know we all agree that Olympics isn't that high a level in football, but the fact he seems to be bagging in goals for fun if we are looking to sell this summer. The lads going to be pretty goosed after all this football he has been playing. I can see his club form dipping this year.
  4. I don't know this season. Some of the big clubs sound like they sail close the wind with their finances. The bigger your turnover then the bigger the financial hit from Covid. My guess is a lot of these European clubs have had there fingers we'll and truly burn. Not a surprise they really went for it with this Super League stuff. I think this year they realised how vulnerable they are to a change in their fortunes!! They now rely on the income sources that we are still only dreaming of.
  5. If around £17M is a starting bid - then he does not sound like a player who would break the bank. I would guess around the £25-30M mark Sound like a few clubs are interested. Think we would have to be say to him that he is being signed as a first 11 starter. It would give us breathing room for a James or Richy sale if either of these is truly on the cards this summer. I don't mind seeing others move on if quality is coming in.
  6. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/player-analysis/joaquin-correa-2019-20-scout-report-tactical-analysis-tactics https://eastbridge-sb.com/serie-a-league-player-analysis-lazio-joaquin-correa-8120/ sounds a very good player. Definitely a first 11 player.
  7. and 2021 transfer market is not the same as it was a couple of years ago. Its kind of relative - this summer £77M will go as far as £100M would have gone a couple of seasons ago. Most players value will have come down relative to each other. As an example, I imagine you might purchase Leon Baily and McNeil for £77M, maybe with some change this summer!!
  8. https://www.goodisonnews.com/2021/07/26/everton-set-77m-richarlison-valuation-as-real-madrid-set-their-sights-on-brazilian/ Who would be happy to sell at around £77M? (I know Real unlikely to have that sort of money), but hypothetically would it be a yes or no?. It would have to be a 'yes' from me if we are indeed in need funds to this summer in order to buy.
  9. I would assume that if CB was purchased then Holgate or Mina would be moved on - and thus not much of a net spend - fee or wages. Might get decent money for Holgate from other Prem club as being home grown player.
  10. I think he would be a very good edition to the team - and maybe a much better value buy than Koulibaly. Cheaper fee and wages as well as being a fair few years younger. Not sure why Barca would want to sell one of their best centre backs though.
  11. nice penalty shoot out at the end for a bit of togetherness - especially with everybody having to step up and have a crack. As other have said, result not that important at all - but winning definitely gives you an extra bounce in your step. They will feel much better today with a micky mouse cup won rather than analysing a 3-0 defeat - so all in all good outing. These trips are about team building as much as anything. I also think now getting going with proper friendly games will help minds focus on football rather than anything else going on at he club.
  12. Given the financial shackles we seem to have on use at the moment, I really struggle to see any truth in this rumor.
  13. Thought all three of the new signings did fine, and look decent aquasitions for the money. Begivic will definately keep Pickford on his toes this season. Having somebody breathing down his neck was good for him last season. Although he didn't see much of the ball when he did Townsend put in a couple of nice crosses, and can use both feet. He is not afraid to have a shot on goal. Could have easily have been a goal and assist on another day. Was impressed with Grey wanting to take the penalty, and them smashing it in. Showed his desire. It definately showed they where already up and running this season and we are at the beginning of pre season. A decent enough workout for them.
  14. I wouldn't worry to much, I don't think Holgate will be Benitez's go to centre back.
  15. I didn't realise that either. So going to be a tough workout.
  16. I must admit, I didn't think I would see Moise Kean in an Everton line up again.
  17. I have to admit, things seem to have gone to shit a bit in the past 6months - from bad to worse. Everything looked great at the turn of the year, high in the table, planning granted for the stadium. Seems a long time ago now. I agree a marquee (relative to others in so far) signing such as Dumfries would be very welcome.
  18. It would be nice to at least see him at his majestic best over a season - I am sure the crowd would make him feel so loved - which I think he would feed off. I would be great if he made a good go of it this season. Benitez might have no other option other than to get a system that will accommodate him. there where plenty of world class player at Madrid he could use instead of James - no so here.
  19. I think every single one of us are willing him to have a blinding season.
  20. It wouldn't surprise me this season, especially if we do get an attack minded RB. I am a pragmatist, I know given FFP we HAVE to kerb our spending for 12-18months. So unless we get two or three big sales and revenue in I don't see us buying big. I think a lot will be down to if and how much we bring in from the sale of Kean and any others. given this weeks revelation, in all likelihood we have unexpectedly lost another first 15 player. Resources may have to be stretched for reinforcements in this area.
  21. Would depend on who comes in, maybe if we did get Dumfries a very attacking minded right back, then another 'expensive' right winger may not be the next priority position. I think Townsend is a better player than most actually give him credit for. He's definately not a long term solution. But if money is tight this summer, and we end up spending a good chuck of it on Dumfries, then I would not be at all surprised if we don't purchase another right winger this summer. Last year there where many games when Coleman was our right winger and games where we had nothing wide on the right at all either winger or attack minded right back. So a Dumfries/Townsend combination would be more frightening than what we put out for the best part of last season. At this very moment Townsend is the right winger we have. He can defend, so with a right back who would bomb on, then having a right winger who can cover and tackle might not be the worst idea in the world - at least while Dumfries finds his premiership feet. I think it could work. But need to buy Dumfries first.
  22. Well the bookies currently have him at 4/5 becoming an Everton player and 8/1 Milan. So we are very much odds on favraties to sign him at the moment. Which is where we want to be. I very much have my finger crossed on this one. I think a steady and supporting Townsend, to such a dynamic right back could be nice balance on the right next season.
  23. If Richy has a great tournament - say top scorer and Brazil take gold medal. would this transfer window be the one to cash in? How much? £70M-80M? Given what man u just paid for Sancho
  24. Bit of a cheek wanting salary paid in full for next 12month, get released and being able to signing up for wages from his next employer. Some people have no shame. If we are paying his wages, he can still come in and train in a corner on his own or stay at home on the xbox if he prefers.
