Have to agree to disagree, I think he has had enough time, he just does not have the stamina or consistency. Maybe in time he would get it, but you cant afford passengers when challenging for the top positions.

Average as he was as a player Philip Neville was a very good captain, organised things well and was a winner.

Rom was further ahead physically than Gerry. Gerry has had 2 seasons here and a season at Milan and still is always knackered after 60 minutes. Don't get me wrong he has the potential to be a great player, very skillful, I love watching him play, but he will never be the high energy, high tempo, aggressive player Koeman wants. Best he goes and best of luck to him, I really enjoyed having a player of his skill on the pitch at Goodison.

If he could play for 90 minutes I would agree, but he would never be happy as a super sub here and at Barca he will happily be a super sub.

Jags has the respect of everyone in the squad and is quietly effective on the pitch. As his own form declined due to age he captaincy fell away to. In his hay day I would have him as captain on the field, now I would have him as club captain and Schneiderlin as on the field captain.

Have you been watching too many viking films lately? I agree we need a on field captain that is forceful and driven, but I think you need a club captain who is a mentor and reflects the values of the club.

Would make sense going back to the club where he started his career.

Walsh is there to get the type of players Koemans wants. If Koeman says no about someone then they don't get signed.

Davies needs games to develop, so by pushing him to the bench we risk not letting him reach his potential.

I would be apprehensive but Walsh and co have a track record of spotting talent and Koeman knows the dutch leagues, so I am hopeful.
