The task ahead of him is large. The majority of players we have are are not good enough for a top 6/7 finish. Players like Mirallas, Lennon, Jags, Baines have dropped off from their prime and are now mid table players at best. Jerry, Ross, are young and inconsistent, although Ross seems to improving in that regard. Mori, Oviedo, Stek and Robles are squad players. Kone, Niasse, Rodreguez never were good enough. McCarthy, Besic need to prove themselves after injury. Which means we are relying on 5 or 6 players every match which is simply not enough. The players must know that they are not able to do what he wants which must be tough to take, especially as Martinez would massage their egos every day. As has been said this will take several transfer windows to resolve this add to this that Lukaku will leave in the summer so he will need a replacement. At least we have a manager who knows what he wants, a chief scout who can identify players and a chairman with the money and determination to get the players and stadium we need. This season is a transition, next season probably will be to, that's just the way it is.

Jags is done, hr looks so nervous, and the team look shaky when he plays. We have played ok but just need that bit of luck or extra quality in the final third. Need to have Jerry on for Lennon.

Agreed, he needs a fresh start and we need to replace him. Sad but true, he never really hit the highs his talent promised.

Can't wait to have him back, I'm looking forward to seeing him have a long run in the side. I think he will flourish under Koeman. Either way we need to change the centre midfield we have and we can see what he has to offer.
