  1. All good things come to those who wait - we hope!
  2. But in essence it is the same squad that got us to 5th last season. Ok lescott may go but that would fund new additions.
  3. 1 bad result doesnt make us a bad team, I still think from 4 to 7 is going to be the most contested competetion this season. I believe once we settle down and get back to something like the levels of last season we will be challenging. Especialy when you concider we have the spine of our team to return by Novemver, if we are there or thereabouts come november we have a good chance.
  4. Agreed they have done very well for us, and we wouldnt of got as far as we have without them. But the question is, more with hibbert than osman are they good enough for us to push on to take on the top4?
  5. Ossy is a great squad player but he suffers from 2 problems: 1) Hes not a winger, he can fill in there but his best position is in centre mid, but we have better options there. He is a fantastic squad player. 2) He seems to run out of stamina after a couple of games, which again makes him ideal as a impact sub or to fill in for injuries and suspensions. Hibbo is a great tackler, but at the level we are now and where we want to be he simply is not good enough, he has poor positional sence, and doesnt have the pace to get out of trouble, also his passing and crossing is poor. We all know the right side is our problem, I would love to see Bently and Taylor on the right, it would realy give us some penetration and security, but with time running out I dont know who we will get in. I dont know whose fault it is but we should have sorted these things out weeks ago.
  6. Yet we finished 5th again, qualified for europe again, and reached the FA cup final. Despite missing our most creative midfielder, top scorer from the previous season and best defender, impresive squad effort no?
  7. That must say something about the rest of our squad then if he was able to outscore everyone of them bar 1!
  8. Fellani was joint top scorer for us in his first season, he will be a quality player, its only the first game of the season and already people are slating the guy FFS, give him a break did you see him chasing back for arse's 4th at least he tried, and had a header cleared off the line. He playes for our club and always puts a good shift in so LAY OFF.
  9. Fellaini was okay as was Pienaar, baines and yobo made some good tackles early on. Then they scored and we fell apart, if fellanis header hadn't have been cleared off the line it might of been different. Basically we were overrun in midfield, we could really done with a Cattermole-type player. I dont think we can play cahill and fellani at the same time, it leaves our midfield too light. Hibbo was totally useless, this man bleeds blue but is not up to it at the level we aspire to. I would have played better at right back and I AM SHIT! Need new player so badly next 2 weeks will probably set the tone for the season. I believe DM will have them fired up for the next game and I think lescott will be gone he is poisen due to his uncertain position at the club. Much as I hate to see Hughes win we must let him go. COYB I still believe PS please get well soon ARTETA, Jags and YAK we need you now more than ever
  10. FFS, Felani is our best player at the mo, that is the only posative. Can this get any worse?
  11. This is the worst I have seen us play for a very long time. The lescott thing has realy got to the team. In a way I am glad it was the arse we got spanked against as it would have been a tough game even if we were playing well. Also the bolocking they are going to get off of moyes will not be plesant. This might spur us on to get new players in and maybe let lescot go if replacements can be found. Although I would hate for him to go to city.
  12. Blue boy, I have nothing against real city fans, any person that supports their team through thick and thin, with dignaty and pride has my respect. I have no ill fealings towards city, I hope they do well and finish just below us! Morons like the Godzilla deserve the post I placed. If honest I would love to have a rich multi billionaire to give our manager the money to realy challange the top 4, but another part of me loves the fact that we have achieved what we have with hard work, spotting potential in players and nurturing that talent. I love the fact we have a team spirit that is second to none, that players play for the team, for each other, and for the fans. £20 million a year to spend would be nice compramise! As for my post, It is not full of bile, it mearly states one possable (probable?) outcome. Abramovich moved to london, to chelsea, invested more than money, but time, he goes to the majority of home games. Can the same be said of your new owner? Before Abramovich Chelsea had Matthew Harding who before his untimley death invested the money that helped propel Chelsea to the top end of the table, when Abramovich took over he hired arguably the best manager in the world, the only one who's personality, and pedegree (having won the champions leauge the previous year)could forge them into a winning team. Hughes who I respected for his work at Blackburn and Wales has acted poorly in the lescott transfer, he wont take no for an answer, he wont do things behined closed doors, the mirror seems to know things before EFC do and that is not on. There are 3 questions that will be answered this season: 1) If hughes can blend citys superstars into a team that players for each other and overcome the inevitable bad patch of form every team has. 2) If City are not in a top 6 position by christmas will hughes be fired? 3) Will the owners walk away if City fail to break the top 4 by the end of the season? I hope things work out for city, I love the idea of you beating UTD, but a part of me wants a team, any team to smash the sky 4 the old fashioned way by hard work and not a unlimited credit card. Best of luck for the new season, it will be interesting
  13. And you are a WUM, a poor wum at that. City are a rich mans play thing, a toy if you will that shares the same fate as all toys, to be tossed aside, forgotten. Like shinawarhera before this new owner aspires to Man Utd and Real, but you cannot buy that history, that pedagree. City are still the only side to win the top title and get relagated the next season. In Hughes you have a manager that has all the money in the world, but no time to blend a team, do you think bellamy, robinho et al play for each other, for city, no my friend they play for money, and when the inevitable failure to win the leauge or qualify for the champions leauge happens they will walk away laughing at the money they have earned. Enjoy the ride, for it will be all to brief.
  14. Reminds me of the Montinho transfer last season Blue Bill "So how much for Monty then? Sporting President "18 million" Blue Bill "Ok will you take £12 million?" Sporting President "er no price is "18 million" Blue Bill "what about 13 million?" Sporting President "Thats still not 18 million so no" Blue Bill "Ok ok, 14 million 2 tickets to any west end play you like and an signed autograph of ant and dec" Sporting president "who are ant and dec?" hangs up phone I imagine that Arsne Wenger now has free tickets to every future Blue Bill presentation, a signed cast photo from corrie and a firm cash offer of £3.50. I also think that on a quiet night you can hear the soft "thud thud" of Moyse banging his head on his desk
  15. Damn long way to go to get helium 3 when 7/8 of the planet is made up in part of hydrogen Yeah but wheres the fun in that
  16. True, but helium 3 is a soab to get to, hydrogen is simpler - at least in theory!
  17. Nuclear fusion, is not the problem of the fuel, hydrogen is by far the most efficient fuel due to its availability and make up. The problem is forcing the hydrogen atoms together. The best way is by using electro-magnetics, to force them together, but it costs so much energy to force them together. The problem \is being solved, but it will take time, and is linked to other problems such as superconductors that operate at managable tempratures. With regard to going back to the moon, yes we are way more advanced now, the computers in the Apolo ships had less power than a modern calculator. But after the moon Nasa was not given a new mission, such as Mars, perminant base on the Moon, so their efforts were put to launching satalites, and technological advances. Advances which afre very different from the skills to go to and from the moon. There is a debate in Nasa wether the best way to go to the moon would be to build a huge space station and move that into lunar orbit then use that to drop off equipment. Or to do a strait shoot from earth to the moon.

I'll vouch for that, I used to go to a few pre season games and compared to when we play in the league we are SHIT. I think we all now know we we are signing Senderos as Rodders is not a centre back, and playing him there must be hurting his confidence. Hibbo must be replaced, not good enough for a team with top 4 ambitions.
  19. Just repeating what the Times has said. I dont believe the "play for England" bit as he has been in the England squad and team with us. We are consistantly qualifying for europe, and challenging for the top 4. City are the very definition of inconsistancy, yes they have multi millions, but I think the team will struggle to gell, they are too attack focused, and lack balance. If they are not top 5 by christmas Hughes will go, and there will be a new manager merry go round, with new signings, and joleon my find he has a new manager that doesnt rate him. Staying is in his best interest and ours
  20. All the fantasy football permuations are great fun. The fact is it gives us tactical options with a very good players. I just have 1 question What are the chances of us signing him? For the record I very much hope we do!
  21. Fits the bill, ie young, talented, but we alraedy have Jags, Lescott, yobo, Rodwell, and that young German guy we just baught so even if Rodwell becomes DM (which I pray is true as he is great in that posision and could become world class) then we have enough CB cover.
  22. Dont think that Lescott is part of the deal, I believe that the delay is over the terms of an option to buy after the loan period. Moyes has been a long term fan of Jo, and if the loan is successful I imagine he will want the future price set in stone - well I hope so anyway. I think Jo could do a job for us playing wide left.
  23. Better hope the Stoke deal comes with an overnight bag, as M'mea will be off as soon as a so called bigger club comes calling. Pitty as I quite like Stoke.
  24. Ledlay for me to, younger, more potential, faster. Hunt is a step back for us, he hardly set the championchip alight last season. A kilbane for the next generation.
