There's a real lack of creativity in the midfield, i just hope we get busy in january & find someone with a spark to get us going. When arteta is out we look very ordinary. AJ & YAK upfront means nothing if they dont get the service. On the upside, IMO our defence is solid & we have bags of potential goals upfront, they just need some service. We need a riqulime type player or a couple of wingers. Some like van der myder, but good......and sober......and sane.

All in all im happy with what business we did do, very exited by yakubu.

As someone said, as long as this isn't an end to our signings this wont be a bad thing. He may be getting on, but we've only loaned him so its good business IMO.

Cant believe people are bitching about yakubu being the next beattie. Completly different class. he scored 36 goals in 81 games for portmouth which aint a bad return IMO. He's gonna score bag loads with AJ running the channels for him & arteta & cahill supplying him. Lets be positive peeps.

Just not sure about him, he decent player but as others have said, he is to similar to other players we already have. If we're spending on midfielders we need flare.

dont get me wrong i liked fernandes, but i dont think we're as lacking in midfield as people make out. Up front needs to be our priority.

Im not really worried about the fernandes deal, we just gotta focus on the yukubu deal, thats gotta be the priority for us as its more of problem position. That said i would have liked fernandes back but ill get over it if we get yukubu.

Im a bit disappointed but whats done is done, suck it up guys, its gonna happen. Give him a break, he may have been crap 90% of the time, but i seem to remember him pushing for a world cup place not to long ago after a great streak for us. Plus at least he never once bitched or moaned about not playing.

As much i love stubbs, he was painfully exposed time & time again on Saturday, he was just to slow to cope with benni & Santa Cruz, Lescott & yobo are the future of this club & im happy with that. Also given baines performance, i never want to see anyone else at left back, top quality player, great business by DM.

i was flying the nugent for everton flag since last year, & after seeing his performances so far this season its just aswell DM is calling the shots and not me.

Always thought he could have been a great player for us, but he's always lacked confidence. Guarantee he'll score 25+ this year & come back a much better player next year. 1 year in the championship is just what he needs. Good luck beatz
