  1. Selling Beckford, despite him being a dick (apparently), was a big mistake in my eyes. Natural scorer... Back to goal mentality is a Moyes thing. If you have a player to pass the ball between a defence, which we do and have had, you have goals in the bag, so I completely disagree...
  2. not sure we can blame Moyes for any missed out signings dude
  3. loving Fargo! My gut has served me right!
  4. I cant answer in the way requested. For me, success makes a big club, not money.
  5. Ross has had a great introductory season. But, he should not be going to Brazil, purely because hes not consistent enough. For Euro 2016, Im sure he will be perfect but for now, he is in danger of being our Walcott - put on the big stage too soon and never living up to expectation. Oxlade-Camberlain too.
  6. Nice post, but unlucky is an excuse. On the field and off.
  7. To start with we supplied the ball for him to run on with. For the last 3 months (or 4 weeks after he came back from injury) we have asked him to head the ball or lay it off. He is a finisher, but we asked asked more of him. Which, in principle, I agree with - see my irritation with Yak. But, considering his ability for finding the net, we should be playing to his strengths, which Martinez hasnt done. Having a big man up front (and therefore, considered a striker) to play provider, just doesnt work unless you have a matured, proven, player and for that youre looking of a 25-27 year old / "child" genius.

I'll charge the next 300 quid round trip to you then? Every game. Or the 1500 quid trip for our further afield fans? We go on what we can. Waking up at 4am in some cases, we have to go on what we are shown. I, and maybe its only me, am there in my shirt and singing in my living room every game. Yes, I sing on my own. I sing on my own if I get to go the game and noone else wants to sing. I have a flag over my door. I get people to come and watch the game at mine who cant get there. I get those who dont really care to watch us, and encourage and explain why they should support us. The way it was portrayed, I made more noise in my room. But, like I said above, I was misrepresented by SKY and I let my anger of pre-match idiots get the better of me.
  9. just like another 15-20 a season goal striker we could mention....
  10. Its only extra income if we maintain our positioning in the league. 1m a place in the league, 4m to total income (if i remember correctly, but think i need correcting) means if we drop to 9th we lose what we wouldve gained participating until the final. still, i want to see Everton in Europe - its where we belong
  11. Even with his faults I still think hes worth it. 14 goals is not to be sniffed at, and I still think Martinez is the reason he doesnt have more. If he does leave, its with my best wishes
  12. I judge thread to thread (where I can!) I love lower league football. because its honest. I hate it because its shite, and therefore I should (and could) play there!
  13. me too. had 2 season tickets there when my folks couldnt afford an Everton one. Went with my best mate. Will never forget the 4-4 comeback in the cup, nor the torn-allegiance for the 0-3 cup game!
  14. Sounds like a great crowd. Think MC was trying to be nice with a genuine question

I go the game, when I can. Difficult when living a foreign country, but 4 games a year isnt too bad all considered. Ive also checked with my family (3 season ticket holders) who nearly echo what I said; 1st half was kind of flat, 2nd half much improved but still not all that. They also said that, since they recorded the game on DVR too, the SKY coverage was a joke and volumes from the crowd were not truly represented. So, I hold my hands up, I was apparently wrong about the atmosphere. I usually wait for their input but I let anger at idiots get in my way. My only excuse is that we, who are not fortunate to be their physically, can only go on what we are presented.
  16. Indeed, very good season but still developing and a lot of inconsistency which needs to be worked out. Cant wait to see the player he will become in 3 years time

we wouldve done if Barry was eligible! The reason I would like to see more of alternative formations is that, on more than one occasion, we havent had a back up plan.

I thought supporting Everton first and foremost was the basis of being an Evertonian? Being so bitter and petty is their level, its kopite behaviour.

Jags was atrocious. Alcaraz too. Because of those 2, noone near the back knew what to do. Hope they work on it over the summer, really think it could work well. 352 / 343, Id be happy.
