Well, not the takeover I guess, rather how he went about "running" the club by throwing money around and overriding his employees; the Bolasie signing was the big red flag moment for me. The difference was it was possible to see where the finances came from. There's also rumours, so fist of salt time, that there are several others hovering. I'm presuming they are waiting for this to fall through before making any public statement though.

If we weren't a cash cow, or rather a potential cash cow, there's no way an investment firm would be looking to buy us, let alone put up with all the shit around the acquisition. These groups, and 777 by its own admission, buy clubs to strip them to the bone and rebuild from scratch, assuming they can continue to load debt onto the club a la Glazers. Seeing them asking for extensions to gather the cash because they don't have a positive cash flow isn’t fear mongering, but it sure as hell is scary. The issues at their other projects, like not paying players, isn't fear mongering, but again is extremely concerning. The shiny "crown jewel" quote is nothing more than propaganda that any sane person representing an interested party would say and it may well be true, until the next opportunity presents itself. It's not a matter of fear mongering, it is a matter of seeing the warning signs and being wary. They will be hard pressed to not improve us but the cost to the club is going to be high and I don't mean monetarily. I get that, its the obvious thing. But why would he be flying earlier in the season and shit after his injury. I'm not convinced he was singled out, like with Ancelotti, under Lampard. But then, I will always try and find the positive, there's enough shit going on at the moment. Playing with injury is a more tangible reason in my eyes.

But at this point, if they get to take over before the summer transfer window, they'll be selling everything they can to reclaim their losses.

Can't comment on the other areas because I don't live there mate. I also wouldn't say its the same all over the country, each council and county has their own challenges, but some thrive. Liverpool has a particular history with the government, especially the Cuntservatives too.

Not necessarily, it's council housing too where there were schemes (I believe, my uncle did it) you effectively rent to buy. But even if you only look at the renting scenario, landlords price people out so then either young adults and couples are stuck living with parents or they're moving away taking their talent and tax to another area. There are reasons the immigration arguement keeps going on. But its not just that. Its the controlled decline that the right started 50 years ago in full effect, the destruction of communities for profit. Immigration is an element but its also 100% an easy distraction tactic.

My guess, having moved back here, is because there's nothing for the locals. They're almost forced to move away from the area, meaning they take their council taxes etc with them. Any accommodation that is cheap is where the government, in some cases literally, dumps the immigrants. So all the cheap accommodation is no longer available for the young adults trying to get a foot on the housing ladder, meaning they can't afford to move out. Also, and I know this sounds really cold and it is, but old people living longer so there's less inheritance and no properties being passed down. That's just 1 example. The government's of the last 50 years have fucked the North into oblivion. Like I said, it's all money.
