  1. No chance of that mate. Dont rate Diame personally. So wouldnt be overfully fussed if we didnt get him. £3.5m he could be a good squad player.
  2. I did mate. Such a down to earth lad though. Only spoke for a few minutes but he has his head screwed on without doubt. Told him he's got to be a dead cert for Brazil but he said he wasn't holding his breath. Awsome whip as well.
  3. Me and my dad just got our picture with John in the Trafford Centre car park Buzzin!
  4. And we can expect to see a tried and tested Gerrard and Lampard midfield combo keep Barkley out the team. Sturridge played on the wing despite scoring 20 odd goals this season, Milner played on the other wing whilst Sterling or Chamberlain twiddle their thumbs on the bench and bring Welbeck on whilst we're 3-0 down to run about for a bit. Cant wait.
  5. Dont sit on the fence Marco, Tell us how you really feel
  6. Matt! Finally a use for your French on TT! Welcome mate
  7. Dont think he was ever in it tbh. He's behind Lallana, Oxlade, Sterling for me. Might have got a few sub appearances though.
  8. Season tickets are up for renewal arent they?
  9. I see where he is coming from but there is no need to go public about it. Its unprofessional to say the least.
  10. I don't think he can take much credit for that. He was playing as he usually does, gets to the byline and fires it a cross for no end product. Just in that game one of their defenders got a touch to put it in. He tore the LB a new one in that game without ever actually doing anything. Anyone with his pace would/should have been doing that to a relatively poor alonso.
  11. He got us a point away to Arsenal, I'll give you that. But I can't remember him having a major impact in any other game. He's 19 as well so I wasn't expecting him to tbh. Just expected him to show a bit more promise than he has.
  12. I'll always point out the bad games Barkley has, i've been fairly critical of him a few times this season but like i said earlier, he still showed glimpses of what he can do. As for Stones, i cant remember him having that bad a game in all honesty? apart from the Derby at Anfield where he was played out of position and the whole team was dyer. I agree the critisism of Lukaku is a bit harsh considering his record but i think the frustration with him is that he is a good player but if he just had that better touch and technique he would be unstoppable, too many times we see him lose the ball by getting it stuck between his feet or the ball just bouncing off him. But like you say, he's still developing. Personally, i've just not seen enough of Gerry to think he will be anything special. He's showed snippets of good play but overall i've been very underwhelmed by most of his performances. I understand that he is also still young and developing but he hasnt shown enough for me.
  13. Valid point. But I still maintain that Hazard wasn't as predictable whilst playing for Lille which is why he became a first team regular at a tender age, all be it in a lesser league then the EPL. I've seen a few others suggest that he would have been a first team regular with us by now if not for his injury and I'm sorry but I can't agree with that either. He had a great game against Stoke at home and scored a peach against Arsenal but to suggest after that he was going to be in the starting 11 more often than not is just ludicrous. He was still making the mistakes of running into no mans land and loosing the ball when the pass was on but he got a goal or two whilst doing it. He does need regular first team football to iron out the issues in his game, but this level is too high for the level he's at ATM IMO.
  14. The reason hazard was playing regularly was because he wasn't making the same mistakes time after time that Gerry is. If Gerry didn't keep going down the line and firing a cross in only for it to go out for a throw in I'm pretty sure he'd have played a lot more. And he probably wouldn't be with us either. For the record, I'm not really comparing them as players, just more the levels they were/are at, at their age.
  15. I agree Mourinho will have had an impact but not massive. Hazards technical ability and skill have been on show for the last 2-3 years, which is why all the top teams in Europe were ready to spend £30-40m on him. I don't see it personally Haf but like I said, happy to be proven wrong.
  16. I understand hes still young, I've used that as a defence for a few players because you still see glimpses of their quality, and you can see that they are still developing. I don't see that in Gerry. Loved to be proved wrong but I just don't think the kids good enough. Hazard is actually a good comparison. There was a similar amount of hype across Europe as there as been with Gerry about his talent, but hazard was performing to a lot higher standard than Gerry is right now. You could say hazard was in a lesser league in France but I also recall him playing in the champions league when he was 19-20. You could see enough from him then to say would be a boss player. I don't see Gerry being at hazards level in a year or two. I'd be happy to quote me on this if we get him next year and he tears shit up btw!
  17. Why is he really good though? Because he's a Barca player? He beat his man once today. Once and got a cross in to lukaku to head over. That's all I can remember him doing. Clyne is a very good player but Gerry made him look like fucking cafu today. He's way way way too predictable.
  18. I really can't see this lad playing for Barcelona.
  19. Joke of a performance. Southampton weren't even that good, we were just gash. Nothing in the final third what so ever. Champions leagues gone now. Think the thinness of our squad shown today. Not just because of the players missing but we haven't had the ability to rotate in CM or CF all season but teams around/above us have. Just looking forward to next season now.
  20. Barry and McCarthy look tired. They're the 2 who have been rotated the least this season and it shows. Same goes for lukaku tbh, he's done sweet fuck all. And once again, I really don't see the hype over Gerry. Stones looks like the only one out there who knows how to play football! Feel sorry for him.
