  1. I threw that comment in because I knew it would Irk you. But im sorry Haf, when you constantly point out a players flaws and constantly compare a young lad learning his trade against seasoned professionals and just go: "Fucking el, we paid £28m for him! why isnt he doing what they're doing" its either you know fuck all about football (which i know isnt true) or your just blinded by everything thats wrong with him and simply refuse to see reason when it comes down to it, because you've stated your opinion on him now and refuse to see that change. Im going with option number 2. Just to point out i've used 2 of the so called "excuses" you thought up and both are very valid points which you are yet to acknowledge.
  2. So its my fault the site was wrong? grow up. "looking at facts" is often a common symptom of "short sightedness"....i'd get yourself checked
  3. Wonder if this bollocks would still be branded about if we'd paid £28m for Barkley and Rom had come through the academy? Just a thought....
  4. Site i used was wrong then. Rom lovers...love that. Its called "not being so short sighted" mate. Should try it.
  5. Are you serious!? please make the list go on so you can continue to make a mokery of your own argument! What do all those players have in common?! How old were they when people started to take notice of them? He's twenty fucking one Haf, Like i said i would love to see where that list of players you've mashed up were at when they were 21! I'm done on this. Tired of trying to have a balanced argument with people who are desperate to see him fail.
  6. Okay you werent saying McGeady was shit, but you were trying to deflect the blame on to Rom as to why other people think he is. I'll agree with you and give credit where its due, McGeady was our best player against Sunderland or he was certainly the one who looked like he was going to create something. But he has been shite for the vast majority of this season. Roms got 4 in 10 in the league. Just under a goal every other game. Forgive the lack of concern regarding a "recession for Everton" on my half. Cant believe im getting dragged into this again but i really dont understand some of our fans expecting some world class accomplished striker coming in when he signed. The idea was and always has been that we've signed a young prospect with a great goalscoring record already who is only going to get better. People are expecting way too much from this 21 year old kid! Haf pitting him against the Likes of Shearer, Costa, Dzeko and Giroud before is whats driving me up the f*cking wall! I'd love to have seen how they were when they were 21! nobody had heard of Giroud Dzeko or Costa until about 2-3 years a go! its a comical argument to be having. we dont expect the same from Barkley, he's been shite the last couple of games and nobodys batted an eyelid whether its because he didnt cost us anything or because he's one of our own or what i dont know. He's a striker, he's young and will fuck up and he's scoring goals (not as prolific as many of you would like apparently?) Honestly the critisism of him is way over the top. If he's shit, he's shit and i'll say it, he was awful last week. But some people on here only seem to want to give him stick and any appraisal is always through gritted teeth, there's very rarely any balance given to any Lukaku argument on here.
  7. I know you dont, but thats what blueboy was suggesting. I agree with the majority there of what you consider Roms faults. I just think where we disagree on this is that i believe he can improve and you dont. Like i said, been done to death so i wont bore people.
  8. Oh come on haf. I can count on one hand the amount of times Gerry did that, thats what we all wanted him to do! Unfortunately, Gerry just got to the line and had a shot from ridiculous angles.
  9. McGeady's shit = Lukaku's fault Teams shite against Sunderland = Lukaku's fault Win 3-0 against Lille, why wasnt it 4-0? = Lukaku's fault Global warming = Lukaku's fault Recession = Lukaku's Fault Honestly bored of the Lukaku arguement now and its been done to death but to suggest McGeady's Ineffectivness is down to him as well is just bollocks.
  10. Saw that one about the lad having to apologise and thought the exact same thing. What the fuck does it have to do with anything that he's an Evertonian? the other 2 are just as bad. How can you slate fans for not taking a day package, mid-week, against a nobody team in a war-torn country? Joke.
  11. Would love him here, think he will be a boss player. Similar mold to Sturridge and could give us a different, exciting option upfront. Doubt we could afford him like, but happy to be proven wrong!
  12. According to this he didnt; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29216771 So answered my own question Agree totally on the rotation though. I get that we might not have someone else in the squad who can do what he does (bar gibbo, who has obviously been out with injuries) but then that to me, says we just have to play slightly different to what we usually do with him in the team. Hopefully gibbo can quickly find some form and stay injury free now he's back though.
  13. Am i right in thinking he's played every minute of every game for us this season? (or near enough) I've been worried about him needing a rest for a while now, especially with his age. We'll miss him big time i reckon.
  14. That did make me laugh. They were all asking the Ref how long was left about 10 minutes before the end, reminded me of my Sunday league days! We spoke to a couple of the Exeter fans and there was a few to be fair, considering the 7 hour drive some of them had, I did feel sorry for them! Where i was sat, we were told we had to leave a seat for the Referee's assessor but he had brought his Grandson so had to be seated elsewhere Apparently the TV money alone was equivalent to 4 years revenue for the club, so made up they got a win as well! hopefully a good draw next round and we play them in the 3rd!
  15. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29907064 Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere else but my hometown Warrington (non-league and lowest ranked in competition) won in the first round of the FA cup against Exeter (League 2). I went a long to the game and it was a great turn out (2,500 official attendance) especially considering its a big Rugby town. I got tickets through a mate of mine who plays for the youth team. The youth team were asked to steward the game and had the un-enviable task of keeping grown men from jumping the fence at the back to get in Great atmosphere and a great F.A cup tie! Their manager is also Peter Reid's brother and i believe the goal scorer Robinson is the brother of MK Dons manager Karl Robinson.
  16. Nobody is comparing the size of club, that would be ridiculous. What I'm personally saying is that, from a career perspective, we're a far greater proposition than a former giant club playing in a league/country riddled with corruption in a league that is easily the worst standard from the main 4 leagues in Europe and full of no mark players.
  17. Unfortunately, Ossie is doing exactly what we feared Cahill might do. Outstay his welcome. Last season we saw that he struggled to complete 60-70 mins, this season he's struggling to complete 45 IMO. The game against Burnley he was fairly anonymous for most of the game, I only realised he was on the pitch when he kept getting caught on the ball around the 60 minute mark. The biggest gripe of mine is how when it gets to that point of a game and we're under a bit of pressure, and he's played on the Left, Baines just gets left out to dry and gets doubled up by the opponents RB and RW simply because Ossie doesnt have the legs to get back and if he does get back, they beat him like he isnt there because he's blowing out his arse. He's never really had the pace or stamina to compete when he was in his prime, so its becoming a massive hinderance now he's getting on. He's been a great servant to the club, and i'll never forget that goal he scored against Larrisa but he's tarnishing all that for me at the minute. Call it a day Ossie.
  18. Isnt that sort of like buying an old banger of a Car because of what it was like back in its hayday? Its not going to do 0-60 in 5 seconds like it used to, or be half as luxurious. Instead, it will keep falling apart and burn a hole in your wallet whilst doing so. Italian football is of dire quality at the moment and not to mention, rife with corruption. Most players are going there towards the end of their Careers and doing pretty well (Tevez, Llorente,Gervinho) but it would be a disastrous move for Roberto career wise.
  19. How pienaar is still on the pitch is beyond me. He's been awful. Barkley been poor. Pienaar off now for Rom. Thank fuck.
  20. Girl in work has said he's got a boot cast on at the minute and can't remember if she said he's waiting for the results of a scan or waiting to have the scan. Either way, doesn't sound good.
  21. I'm not going back through the first half to pick out stuff that you chose to ignore in the first place. That's it, as it has been all along with you. Your pissed off with the fee and because we didn't get who you wanted. Your not watching a £28m player!, we paid that much because he has the potential to be the best and if e realises it, in today's market £28m could be a snip. But you don't seem to realise it. It's fuckin pathetic Haf. We paid £28m Because of his potential. Name me any other player in world football that would have come here for less money with the record Rom has AND the potential Rom has. If you say Bony you can fuck off and I'm leaving it there. Que story about how you/your brother/your wife's sisters hairdressers cousin used to play for tranmere but should have played for Madrid because he had a better touch than Rom story. I'll leave it there becaus it's obvious you don't like the lad and never will. Pathetic that people can't see past his fee. Be arsed.
  22. This is it for me. By all means slate him when he's shite but give him a bit of praise when he's actually half decent! First half he did well but people on here only seemed to pick up on when he fucked something up. He was shite second half nobody can deny that. But the shit he gets on here is unreal, at least give his argument some balance for Christ sake!If he does something good it's either "he should be able to do that" or it gets completely un-noticed at all. It's embarrassing. Don't get the personal vendetta on him at all. On the game, I thought we were lucky to get something from it. On another day it could have been 2-3 if balotelli had scored from that cross. On the subject of Ballotelli, what a fucking shit house. Suarez mark 2. It's like it's a pre-requisite to play as a striker for Liverpool, you've got to a) be able to dive feign injury c) moan like a bitch when you don't get a descion. Cunt. Hopefully we can build on this result and string a few points together. We need to. Besic did well and so did browning when he came on. Naismith was poor for me. as was baines second half. Rom was poor second half but he should have been moved inside earlier for me. McGeadys shite. We are gunna miss Mirallas.
