  1. Yeah like you I only watched them in bits last year but you just knew they would be boss players. I think Bakkali will go to a Madrid or Barca. But i think we'd be in with a shout for Depay. Would be an immense signing and a perfect replacement for pienaar. Have you seen anything of the guy from Feynoord, Vilhena? (Sp?) There seems to be a lot of immense youth players coming through in eredivise.
  2. A few of them aren't too confident about this one http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?49863-Everton-Build-Up-Thread Looking forward to this, should be a good match. A must win though.
  3. Speaking to the girl in work again today and brought up that he was linked to City. She knew about it already and kind of hinted that john knew as well (which worried me a bit). But she said he wouldn't do it (so she must have spoken to him about it) because he wouldn't get the playing time, which was re-assuring Also told me Moyes had a word with him after the game and told him how proud of him he was. And that he said he was star struck by Rooney, though nobody could tell through his back pocket
  4. Thats like buying a mondeo. Realising it's shite, then taking it back and asking for a Lambo.
  5. Was looking at a Saints forum before and they rate this lad really highly. A few were pissed that he got dropped for Wanyama last week. Cant see them letting him go on the cheap but i would like him here.
  6. I know a girl in work who is his Sisters best mate. She's a united fan and he (stones) got her and his sister tickets to the game on saturday. He's on specials meals from the club to help bulk him up apparently
  7. I agree. Think he could be vital in the games coming up but i knew it was bad as soon as i saw him pull up and just saw on the echo website to confirm. "Not the best news for the Blues to wake up to, as Kevin Mirallas is said to be out for the rest of the season after sustaining an injury against Manchester United."
  8. Was boss on sunday. Out for the rest of the season though apparently after pulling up.
  9. FFS we need to sort this out. We've said it on here before, McCarthy is the kind of player you notice more when he isn't playing, we're seeing it now. I'd have dropped Barry if he wanted to play this way.
  10. I'm exactly the same mate. I'd say it was his decision making and it will come with time but I said that about Barkley because you could still see glimpses of absolute quality. I don't see it from Deulofeu at all. He's too direct IMO.
  11. Makes no sense at all to do it now. They've got a huge game against Fulham next week which is winnable but then they've got to play the top 4 in their last 4 games which they're not going to get anything from anyway, never mind with a new manager.
  12. Lukaku playing off the right has been a master class so far from bobby. Love it. 2 great goals
  13. Some of the passes baines has been playing today is why Martinez has said what he did.
  14. Love it. To have a manager who even contemplates this just fills me with excitement tbh. For him to take an already pretty experienced player to a match and say to him, "you could do this", is unconventional but it makes sense! It speaks volumes of both Martinez and Baines as professionals. Marco, I agree baines is a "phenomenal" () left back but so was Lahm! (RB I know) I'm sure eye brows were raised by Bayern fans when he was played in CM but there is only one way to find out. It's like he's got the player who we know is an amazing full back but he see's more than what he can do at full back and what he can bring to other areas of the field with what he is good at. I think Alaba has also played CM for Bayern and International level as well so it seems it may be the way football is evolving that we see things like this.
  15. I'd say a lot of bad injuries can do that to a player. As any bad injury can affect you more mentally than physically, I'm not really old enough to remember Barnes or Lawrenson's career but i agree with you that these injuries can affect players with pace a lot more. I dont see Benteke as a striker that relies on pace though. I dont think he's slow but i wouldnt say he was quick personally. He's very similar to Lukaku in that he relies on strength and positioning to get him his goals. I hope it doesnt affect him too much anyway as he's a good player and still pretty young, isnt he like 23?
  16. Yak wasnt the same player for us. But he still scored a fair few for Blackburn after us. I wouldnt say its a potential career ruining injury, as bad as it is.
  17. Still need another though IMO. Maybe that Batashaisjdijirje (sp) from Leige?
  18. Coleman's goal at Swansea was GOS for me. Barkely Young player. Torn between McCarthy and Coleman for POS.
  19. Yeah i remember him playing for Birmingham at Goodison and he looked a good player then on what i think was his debut. He's scored a few lately as well. Seems to be a good box to box player.
  20. I like the look of Mutch. I think he could be great next to McCarthy, i hope we are in for him if/when Cardiff go down. But to suggest he is better than Barkley is an absolute joke!
