We did actually sign a young league winner once, Stephen Hughes.... Won the league playing near half the games in a season fir arsenal. Was absolutely shite. We signed Phil Neville, who won nearly everything, not calling him shite but let's just say average and put the words "honest pro" for those who still kiss his arse.
 
The common denominator is that in every wining or relegated side there are contributors and there are passengers... There are more contributors in a winning side, but to label all relegation battlers as not good enough is nonsense.
 
If you heard Martinez rejected RVP, Rooney, bony, lallana etc etc because they played for teams that finished lower than us then would you be happy? If your logic was right then we should reject such players.

Made up for Coleman to get an award because he has taken his game to a different level this season, but I'm with Brett I was gutted McCarthy didn't win one. If he plays like he has been for the next few seasons i'm sure he will end up with a couple of awards.

With the talk about Martins-indi to Everton, id like a double raid for Bruno and Jordy.
 
Think Jordy would do well at Everton, under Martinez. Just the type of player we should be looking at.

Was it the usual atmosphere of a last home game of the season, against a top team with a chance (albeit slim) of champions league football though? Far from it by the looks of it.

A fan can criticise via watching on sky the same as you and all of us can criticise a player, manager etc. As I said earlier, it's the same principle. It ain't about your Everton dick, not about offending season ticket holders. It's just a fact that it seemed subdued. Some say it stronger than others. That's all.
 
I think it's 3 games I have been to this season and it's been flat each time. Maybe that's just the way it is and we have to accept that. I dunno.
 
It's pointless dragging it on as the game has gone and those at the game have said it was fine. Some others have said not so.

We go on what we can. Waking up at 4am in some cases, we have to go on what we are shown.
 
I, and maybe its only me, am there in my shirt and singing in my living room every game. Yes, I sing on my own. I sing on my own if I get to go the game and noone else wants to sing. I have a flag over my door. I get people to come and watch the game at mine who cant get there. I get those who dont really care to watch us, and encourage and explain why they should support us. The way it was portrayed, I made more noise in my room.
 
But, like I said above, I was misrepresented by SKY and I let my anger of pre-match idiots get the better of me.

But it's still extra income. Hopefully the accountants at the club are busy with their calculators working out how much extra bob can have in his transfer budget.
 
Plus the main thing is the raised profile of the club, the added attraction to potential new signings (maybe, dare I say it, investors?) and that it is the next step. A step in the right direction.
 
The side note being that the fact some fans don't like the idea of the Europa cup is more a fault of uefa's and how they have set it all up than anything else.

I really don't understand this. How can an Everton fan prefer that Everton lose? Has it really come to the point in this life where we'd rather wish ill of others than good for ourselves? It was not a no-win situation: If Everton won, it was a win situation.
