No thanks on Howe. Need a manager who can bring in big players.
Personally i think De Boer is a big risk, the dutch league is poor. I wouldn't be totally against him but i would be wary.
-
What is Koeman going to say at a Press Conference before their final game? Of course he will deny it. anything can happen, if we genuinely approach him i think he will come, Southampton have done well but its a constant cycle of selling and rebuilding and i think the money and the squad we have will be very tempting for him.
-
2 important players just signed new contract with Southampton today.
-
Im starting to sway towards Koeman, Is he the balance of Moyes and Martinez? I think under Koeman we would be the team from Martinez first season in charge. Defensively sound and nice to watch going forward.
-
If we have any hope of keeping our 'top' players then we need a manager in asap.
Iv gone for Mourinho - he would be perfect to lift us higher over the next few years, raise our profile and attract new payers. I think Moshiri will be deciding the next manager so i expect a high profile name.
-
The new 5 year deal would suggest you're right.
Nothing Signed yet

No way will mourinho be at Man United. Bobby Charlton will not have it.
Agree, Mauricio Pochettino would be perfect. Wont happen either but i think he'd be the perfect fit for UTD.
-
I agree 110% with that, but I have said before I believe he threw that game and a few before to win the semi final believing that would save his job. That tospot Jones kicking off with Mori kinda showed that. If he hadn't missed the semi final with that sending off his reaction would've been so different.
There's been a few incidents this season with Mirrallas, Baines and Mori which I believe have split the dressing room.
100% the players he's had issues with are mostly made up of 'Moyes players' and part of the great team spirit that we had before. Major factor in our downfall.
-
Mirallas is our most dangerous attacking player imo. We look much more dangerous when he plays. No excuse for the penalty incident but all would have been forgotten if he had scored.
-
-
I cant see Mourinho coming tbh, it would be great if he did imo. If he truly wants to prove he's the best manager in the world then this could be the right job for him.

I have even seen Tweets lately from fans of other clubs hoping they get Martinez once he is sacked from Everton. People on the outside just don't see the damage he has caused.
-
Agreed, i think a couple of quality signings will be the plan to try to keep the fans happy. Pointless, i think its gone too far now. Would take another season like his first in charge to turn people around.
-
Im starting to think Martinez isn't going anywhere and we will be stuck with him next season.
-
If the Rumours about Barkley turning down a new deal are true then i think Martinez will be shown the door sooner rather than later.
-
I'm hoping for Pellegrini, i think he'd be perfect to take us forward over the next 3 years. He would also be able to attract some quality players too. The Hughes rumours are depressing and im happy Howe has stated he is happy at Bournemouth.
-
Ossie, Pienaar,Kone, Hibbert, Ossie, Howard, McGeady, Niasse, Ossie, Gibson, Oviedo, and probably Ossie. Not a fan at all of Cleverley but need players for the league cup.
Think we would see the Mirallas of old with a new manager but that's just my opinion.
Poor Lad, hes hardly kicked a ball yet!

Personally i think Moyes is coming back. i just have a feeling. I imagine he is still on good terms with Kenwright and i agree with the above statements that Bill will see Moyes as 'safe hands' after 2 miserable seasons. The unfinished business will be that he worked on a small budget and made us a top 5 challenging side so now we have money i imagine Kenwright will be happy to bring him back to the club.
-
I don't know why people keep putting Howard on their list; he's going, we already know that.
(Not picking on you personally Dean, lots have done it)
i just thought if i didn't put him on the list someone would pick up on it, backfired :-)
-
Get Rid: Howard, Kone, McGeady, Pienaar
As for the rest, some players could be back to their best under a decent manager.
-
I'm not saying Moyes should come back but i do think with this team he would have success. The likes of McCarthy, Besic, Barry, Lennon, Stones & Cleverly are the perfect players to work well under Moyes.

I think its gone too far for him to stay, we look a million miles away from putting in a decent 90 min performance. We are a laughing stock, every team in the league will fancy playing us right now. From our remaining fixtures there is only Bournemouth who have nothing to play for but i still fancy them to win.
-
Different Era and situation, Moyes took a terrible team on the brink of relegation and turned it around with hardly any budget. Martinez took over a 'top 6 team' and has made us a laughing stock and a shambles.

For me i don't think you replace him with 1 player like for like but £65m could get us 2 very good strikers, for me Bony & Berahino could both be bought and still have money left over.
