dlblue reacted to EFC-Paul in Ronald Koeman
I think the thing with Mourinho is he's a bit of a wounded animal with what went on at Chelsea and with the majority of top clubs having managers in place (potentially United being one exception) he's not a great deal of choice and if he's true to his persona he will want to prove himself as the or one of the best again
We've no European football to contend with we've got a great core of young talented players and hopefully a good war chest going into the summer amongst other good prospects, we'd he pretty ideal if he really wanted a challenge and to stamp his name on world football once again
I think he'd be a great fit and choice but its obviously out of our hands and we will likely end up with Dr Boer but if I had my pick it would be Mourinho

I would be extremely interested to hear who the 100 managers are that you think are better
The reason people want him is because he is a proven winner, if you can even name one single manager in world football with a better track record I would like to hear it
I can accept that he isn't everybody's cup of tea but to say you can't understand why anybody would want him is ridiculous, the answer is obvious.... He is a winner

Why would we? We don't need to enter the "big name" player merry go round to replace him good scouting and management can unearth a player with his ability, had many heard of some of the standout players of this season a year or two ago?
He's a very good player and I do rate him highly but he's not world class and is not irreplaceable, £65m and I would snatch any clubs hand off and reinvest

No thanks on Howe. Need a manager who can bring in big players.
Personally i think De Boer is a big risk, the dutch league is poor. I wouldn't be totally against him but i would be wary.

I'm not sure why anyone would want Howe (seen him suggested on social media) he's done well with Bournemouth granted but was piss poor at Burnley

Southampton players being tied down to long deals, anyone think that means Koeman isn't going anywhere?

Does no one find it weird that Watford want rid? Considering what he's done? Not good enough for Watford, nowhere near good enough for Everton.

Flores is apparently leaving Watford at the end of the season. Was impressed by him

have money to buy transfers. he has to sell to buy at Soton and they can't keep their stars. we can keep our stars here now and can splash the cash with moshiri.

Not all players are at Euros mate and no agents are. There is a massive clean out and rebuild to do we need the new manager in tomorrow if possible. Remember we give all our managers total control he'll need to get his backroom in, get targets identified, talk to existing players agents especially Stones, Lukaku and Barkleys to see where they are at. There's plenty to do.
We don't want to be in a situation like after the world cup where we had no pre season and our manager was away being a pundit. Fuck all that get him in to Finch Farm let him find his way round and get into meetings and on the phone sorting our shit out.
It's time for a new regime with a fresh more agressive approach.

Agreed, I hope he's already in place and is announced before Sunday. I know he wont like but we need whomever it is in ASAP to get back to putting the mess right.

He should have gone after the Derby, i honestly feel there would have been a different outcome in the Semi Final if he'd have been sacked just before it.

I agree 110% with that, but I have said before I believe he threw that game and a few before to win the semi final believing that would save his job. That tospot Jones kicking off with Mori kinda showed that. If he hadn't missed the semi final with that sending off his reaction would've been so different.
There's been a few incidents this season with Mirrallas, Baines and Mori which I believe have split the dressing room.

After the Chelsea FA Cup game I really thought they were going to kick on and turn it around.
It's really a massive disappointment.

dlblue reacted to London Blue in Martinez - Direction?
I have supported Martinez and believed he could turn it around until the derby, then it became evident to me that he had lost not only the fans but the dressing room, this was confirmed by the 1st half display in the FA Cup semi final.
If was apparent to me living in London and getting back 6 or 7 times a year it should be obvious to the board. They should have made the decision to sack him after the semi final and given the last 4 games to Unsworth and Ferguson to see out, bring back the feel good factor and let players and fans end the season with a bit of relief and hope for the future.
Martinez is in my opinion a decent, genuine man who loves football and has genuinely bought into the Everton way. Some of the things he has done, like changing our style of play to a more attractive passing way, bringing in some great players and supporting Everton in the Community will be a testament to his tenure.
Ultimately he failed, most of this is his fault, being stubborn, defensive nievaty, couldn't handle players with big ego's. I respect the man and applaud his efforts. He is a human being and should be treated with respect, we have made our feelings clear, we know he is going to leave, the baying for his blood must stop.
We are Everton and are better than this.

I feel the same. It's not only unfair on the fans, it's unfair on him as well. And Norwich is going to be toxic.
I watched that press conference and it was just depressing. The fact he didn't talk about the future is very telling. He knows he's done for. And now he's going to have to go out on the pitch at Goodison on Sunday and listen to thousands of people shouting abuse at him because the board haven't given us or him an answer.
I can't hate him anymore, I just feel sad for him now. I wish him luck in whatever he does next.

That's something that's getting to me. No cohesion or togetherness. Each player is doing "their role" and not doing a team role. So frustrating.
Edit: There's expressing yourself as a player and then there's taking liberties.

I don't want any big signings. I want a manager who has our team play a cohesive style with and without the ball. I'm sick of watching a bunch of soloists every week. I want a goddamn philharmonic.
