  1. SSN has reported that Moyes has already made contact with Petrov and held talks. Petrov wants to stay in the northwest. Good signing for a free. 3 signings so far and 2 of them are free, with Mucha and Beckford. Shrewd business by Moyesy! I would be happy with Petrov.
  2. Yes i probably am dreaming, i know we have no hope on Joe Cole, it a shame though he will go to one of our rivals Spurs! I keep forgetting we have no european football for next year aswell. By the way how greedy can a player be, he was on at least 80K at Chelski.... 50K and a nice 4million signing on fee would suit many of players! Not like their short is it! Get Landon back andyway solve our winger issues and his USA team-mate Michael Bradley.... i am gonn keep a eye on him in the world cup see how he does. Meant to be good and he only 22.
  3. I don't think it was a "cock-up" to be honest, we were linked with him alot and there were quotes from player, the club and his agent.. it was looking like he was going to be paraded around goodison the way all the reports were going on. I hope we can get Ben Arfa in though if Peanuts goes or Joe Cole (prays)
  4. UTD have been linked with him for a while now, a few seasons ago they where linked to him. But since then they have tied park down to a extended contract, got nani playing well, signed valencia, and signed the young french winger Obertan who is supposed to be the next big thing so i can't see them going in for him to be honest. Also Ferguson has stated that there won't be any major changes at Utd and by his signings now he is looking for players under-21, with smalling and hernandez. I think we can get him as we have been linked to him for ages and his agent saying a deal could be possible? If we make a bid when Peanuts leaves then we should be ok. Then again we have been linked with players strongly for ages and just signed a different player altogether. Just like Bystrov was a cover up so we could sign Billy. I honsetly think Moyes is looking for Peanuts replacement and i would be happy if it was Ben Arfa. I trust Moyes when he signs a player so lets just hope he gets the replacement right. BRING BACK DONNOVAN!
  5. I agree, get him in even if it on a small contract. He has been linked with Villa and Bolton this morning. Need to get in fast if we stand any chance of getting him, there will be alot of clubs sniffing around him. Also Joe Cole is rumoured on SSN to get released by Chelsea today aswell as Michael Ballack. I would love us to get Joe Cole, his wage demands are way above our limit but a big signing on fee and 50grand a week would suit us nicely! He would be a quality signing but I live in hope as we have no chance!
  6. I agree, i would love to see Yak in the form he shown when he 1st joined the club. But he only scored 5 goals last season in which he played 25 games (16) coming by substitute so he has played a fair amount of games. He has undiniable quality but i think if the price is right (brucey bonus) we should sell.
  7. I totally agree with this. The Yak has got quality in him and i know he was injured for a while but if there is money anywhere that mark i would bite their hand off. I like the Yak but he is a nigerian 26/27 and doesnt really suit our style of play now. Cash in on him while clubs are snooping round as long as it is around that 10million mark and we have a quality striker lined up to replace him. Zarate from lazio i think would be a great buy! But i can only dream! He was at Birmingham a few years ago and done well, so he is used to the league and he is fast, has a eye for goal and has unbelieveable TEKKERS!!! doubt we could afford him but he was reported to be unhappy at lazio and lets face it italian football is wank. Get him in the blue n white and it could prove to be immense!
  8. I really hope this is media bull-shit and he stays! City havn't achieved anything we haven't in recent seasons so it's only the money factor players go for. It has proved that most players who leave us dont do well except one player and he is a exception.. Wayne Rooney, but lets face it was is always going to be special. The likes of barmby, xavier, kroldrup, jeffers, lescott, have all seen their careers fall by the way side. They eitther into lower leagues of sit on the bench for ages and get offloaded. Lets face it, this is probably media bull-shit which we are all used to at this time of the year..... Jonny has only been here touching on a season, he is only just getting to grips with the league and cementing his place in our tight-knit squad. I wouldn't begrudge him moving on in 2 years if we haven't grown as a team and challenging for honours but we are on the brink of doing that! If we have no disruptions for the start of the season and get a few quality players in to add to beckford and mucha, who knows what we can do... just look at the end of last season. Glad we have nailed rodders and cahill down to new contracts, lets hope peanuts follows suit and we continue to grow as a quality squad not just a excellent 11. IMWT
  9. If he doesnt want to sign a deal then sell the miserable greedy get! I am a huge fan of peanuts but we have re-ignited his carrer after him dissolving into a german bench and to see him stalling and moaning makes me sick, he only had a one great season!! I would happily take 15 million for him, he is getting on and i think if he doesnt want to play for us then let him go. we can easily replace him with the money we get for him, even get a few players plus cash off city if they want him so badly. If that was the case i would ask for petrov and ireland plus cash. I am far more concerned with the rumours of utd sniffing around Mikel, they usually get who they want! and we have a good relationship with them when buying or selling players. I also hope Jonnys quotes have been mis-interpreted... othwerwise Moyes should throttle him! He only started to establish himself at the end of the season! Billy will come good this year IMO so letting peanuts may not be a bad idea with him only having a year left on his contract. We need a pacey winger, it has shown what we need when donnovan was here.
  10. "I just wish we hadn't offered Saha such a lucrative contract, he's past it. I'd rather see Anichebe or Yakubu play ahead of him every time. We need a striker." Sorry i don't agree with this one bit! If you want to see Everton with the slowest and lazyiest forward line in the history of the club since Brett Angel then have the Yak and that donkey Anichebe leading the line. Granted the Yak can score goals and is a quality poacher but cnt have leading the line and i think he is getting sold anyway. But to say anichebe ahead of Saha is laughable. Anichebe is a joke, lazy and useless! He looks knackered after running ten yards, his touch is shocking, no pace, cant hit a barn door, the only thing he can do is bully some players but he has no attacking prowess or intelligence what we need to fire us to that top 4. Sorry to shooot your post down but when the topic of Anicheb is raised i get angry haha! I am simply just not a fan!
  11. i would sell the yak.... he was awful before he got injured and he is far too lazy. i have liked him for a while but i think a move would suit both him and the club only if we have a adequate replacement. I would like to see bellamy here. he would provide us with some pace we lack and he can score a goal from anywhere. not convinced on beckford though... i would only take him as a backup player... couldnt see us threatening to break into top four with beckford leading the line. My sigings would be: Bellamy, Ireland (strange person but outstanding quality) Ben Arfa (replacemt for peanuts as he obviously going) Wild Card - Diame from Wigan. Everytime i have watched him he looks class, even against big teams. He is 21 and a monster! could be a great player in the future. Love to see rodders and coleman get more 1st action this season aswell.
  12. I'am not slagging our defence off because of that performance however i still believe Distin needs a player next to him who will shout and tell him where to go etc. I thought they played well against sporting, and yes that was because Liedsen didnt offer anything to Sportings attack. That was a difficult ball played by rodwell i agree but i felt a premiership centre half who trains almost everyday should be able to control it? Yobo looked back to what we all know he can do, the start of the season he was poor but tonight he looked sharp and calm on the ball, i have not been a fan of Distin for a while so my "slagging" of him isnt due to that penalty last night. most evertonians imo look at the team when its distin and yobo and think there could be some errors being made here, they dont bring confidence to the back four. IMO yobo was great last night, distin was ok, but overall i think Distin should be a squad player nothing more, IMO he does too many sloppy passes, jumps into tackles too much (ie last night when the right mid just knocked it past him and he went on his behind) and gets himself into bad positions. he has looked better alongside Jonny.... but for me he wont be my 1st or second choice centre half. jags and jonny for me! lets hope tim isnt out for the Utd game though, we really need him for such a big game! COYB!
  13. good win tonight, however the away goal was a serious disappointment! even more disappointing was listening to the radio phone in and people calling for Phil Nevilles head!? Granted Neville isnt the best passer of the ball or getting forward but we really missed his influence on the team when he was injured and it is no suprise that we have started picking up points with him back in the team. Coleman is a great prospect but we need neville in our team and right back is his best position, we know he doesnt get forward alot but he does his job well as a right back. he gets the ball either gets rid or makes a easy ball. with landon donnovan playing right wing we need a player like neville to sit back and cover. Neville may not be the most popular with fans because he isnt the most charasmetic and his united background but without a doubt we need him in our lineup! Tonights result was good but not perfect, i would like to see us go for it abit more but hey we won. although tonight proves that yobo and distin cannot play together, distin needs a player who leads and talks to him(jonny) and yobo just aint that player. i cannot wait to see jags and jonny together at the back, that is a centre half partnership which would scare alot of strikers! the news of felli being out for the season is terrible news, he was just getting to show his potential and looking class in the defensive mid role. this now opens the door for rodwell to step in and claim his midfield place, arteta is class but he is not fit enough yet or strong enough to just play in the centre along side osman. i would like to see rodwell and mikel in the middle together now.... is think mikel can bring the best out of rodwell. gutted about felli though! COYB, lets get a good result against utd who have a massive game tonight and may (hopeful) be jaded!
  14. this would be a decent signing for us IMO. granted that he is linked with lower clubs but he scores goals, big sam just thinks he is bigger and better than anyone, he needs to realise blkburn are shite and they will never attract big players! mcarthy would do a job for them if he actually started him that is proven but he persists with roberts and the flop kalinic! if mcarthy is cheap, he would do a job for us, he is better and a more natural goalscorer than Jo and with yak at the african nations a cheap goalscorer would do us nicely. i wouldnt play more than 2.5 mill for him! but moyes has already said he will only be getting loan signings
  15. Big Donkey! Sad about if his career is over though, if it isnt it shoudn't carry on with us! Vaughan has more in the locker, Anichebe looks knackered after a 5 yard run and he is a young lad! DONKEY!
  16. I THINK WE HAVE ACTUALLY TURNED A CORNER AFTER THE LAST RESULT. OUR FOOTBALL IS LOOKING BETTER BUT WE ARE STILL STRUGGLING INFRONT OF GOAL. I THINK WE CAN PUSH UP THE TABLE NOW AND START WINNING GAMES. THE RETURN OF NEVILLE, RODWELL AND JAGS WILL BE A HUGE BOOST. I AGREE THAT I AM DOUBTFUL OF MIKELS RETURN BEFORE THE END OF THE SEASON. I WILL PUT MY BET ON; MANC CHELSKI ARSENAL SHITE CITEH VILLA US SPURS FULHAM I THINK IF WE STAY INJURY FREE FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON, NEW LOANS SIGNINGS AND PLAYER RETURNS WE CAN REALLY PUSH ON UP THE LEAGUE AND RECAPTURE THE FORM OF LAST YEAR. I THINK FULHAM WILL RUN OUT OF STEAM THEIR SQUAD AINT BIG ENOUGH AND SPURS ALWAYS FOOK UP SOMEWHERE, VILLA LOOK BETTER PLACED TO HAVE A DECENT RUN THIS YEAR AND MANCINI IMO WILL COME GOOD FOR CITEH.THE SHITE WILL START TO GET THEIR JAMMINESS BACK AS PROVED WITH VILLA AND SLOWLY MOVE UP. OUR SQUAD IS MUCH BETTER THAN LAST YEAR WE JUST NEED OUR PLAYERS BACK AND FELLI TO KEEP UP HIS GOOD FORM AND CAHILL TO PULL HIS FINGER OUT AND START BANGING THEM IN! Edited by Bill to resize and tone it down a bit.
  17. I would love Alan Irvine back at us! He was great when he was Moyes's number 2 and I prefer him to Steve Round. I don't know what it is about Round but he just grates on me and I don't think he suits us?? I would ideally like Irving as Moyes's number 2 once again but any coaching role would be much welcomed! I can't believe PNE sacked him after he saved them last year from relegation and got them to the play-off semi's? He has had a bad run recently i dont know if it was 1 win in 9, but they wer only 7 points form the play-offs again and we all know how tight that league is. Our recent run hasn't been much better so i'am quite shocked they have sacked him. I would welcome him back with open arms in any role at the club, he was a good player, great number 2 and seemed to love the club. If or when Moyes joins Utd, he could become a natural replacement. Learn the ropes off Moyes and keep us moving up to become a force once again. Bring back Alan!
  18. I would love to see Adam Johnson at goodison! he is everything what we need, young, fast, and can cross a ball! he is injured at the minute i think, dunno if it is long-term though???? and we have no funds to buy him and boro wont want to loan him out as he is their only hope of getting promotion! as for Kazim-Kazim as he calls himself, he is not fit to put on the royal blue of everton, although we have had some terrible strikers ie Brett Angel!!! he is a terrible player CKR and i would be gutted if we get him! if he is wank in the turkish league imagine him in the prem, banging goals in liek anelka!?
  19. I would have Manny back here on a 6 month loan deal, even though Elstone has seemed to rule him out! Manny was amazing in the 1st loan spell and granted his 2nd wasnt great but he was moved around alot and came carrying a knock, it is alway hard for a player to adjust under them circumstances. he is better than what we have in the middle of the park now with the injures we have, sorry but Osman just isnt doing a job! even before he was injured! He had a good half of last season and a good half of a game against B'ham and ppl rave about him. manny would be a better option than ossie at the minute, if we want to take that step forward. i would like to see us sure up the defence aslo, we are conceeding alot of goals recently and that is becaue we have a patched up defence doing their best due to injuries, but we will carry on to drop points and leads if it is not sorted fast. Distin for me has not offered what we needed, he looked immense at the start but he has been awful until he got injured, maybe he needs a player next to him who will talk and give him direction because he looks lost at times and lets face it joey is mute and hibbo cant give directions to anybody on the pitch! when jags is back i hope distin gets back to the form he shown at the beginning of his everton career, but jags and jonny sounds appealing! As for reyes, he was amazing at arsenal until the last few seasons, i dont think he would prove to be a good signing, i think he lost his pace and he wouldnt cut it at prem level otherwsie wenger wouldnt of let him go. We need a out-an-out winger ASAP! billy is good but he is not a winger, and has no pace, and seems to fade in the 2nd half. people mention bently, and IMO it could be worth a cheeky loan although he is a grade A tosser! In moyes i trust to bring another few quality players on yet again a tight budget! the man is amazing at shrewd deals!!!
  20. That second half was pathetic! I never critise Moyes really, because he is literally a miracle worker! but his subs today where crazy!? why take our only striker off for a player who has been awful all season and cant run faster then a toad! we have a attacking midfield playmaker sitting on the bench, and ossie who is never a winger! he is not creative, direct or good enough to make a difference! tony hibbert, were do you start with this guy!? ball watches, never tracks the runner, cant take a throw in, gets it and launches it into space and never completes a pass! he needs to be dropped, i dont know what he is doing to moyes but he seems to see something that 30,000 plus toffee fans arent!?. i dont care if heitenga prefers to play cb/cm, i would start him right back, at least then we might even get a pass completed down the right! we miss creativity so much, fulham were ther for the taking today, we looked good in the 1st half and we needed someone with a bit of flair and creativity to spot a pass or even attempt a shot to kill the game! i feel like i am creating a scapegoat out of hibbert and ossie but they never seem to prove me wrong! i think we should wake up and smell the coffee, players like van der vaart and defour will not be joining us in january. players like that have other options and basing on our recent form we are not attracting players of such quality which dissapoints me greatly! even if we did sign a quality attacking midfielder moyes will insist on playing osman on the right! come on moyes, sort it out otherwise we will be lucky to get top 10 with all the teams around us picking up points! have faith in the signings and give them a chance! good to see yak back, as i feel we are missing that quality up top! i have faith in the ginger god but we need a good win fast!COYB
  21. Fulham is always a tricky game, the pitch is small and we always seem to struggle there. Roy Hodgson has got them into a decent top 10 outfit, and they play some decent stuff. it will be a tough game as ever but i am sayin we could nick it 2-1. however i would like us to get our 1st clean sheet of the season so am going for 2-0. cahill and king louis!
  22. "Think it's pretty obvious now that this is just newspaper waffle, he won't be coming as frankly we don't need another right back with the Het and dare I say Hibbert!" in reply to this quote, SSN have said Ronald Raldes is having a trial at everton this week. moyes has been after him for a while and needs cover for the cb/rb position. i think it would be a good signing for cover, we need to bolster the squad with numbers and competetion for places would give us a huge boost. even though we dont know what he is like, he is captain of his country (although its bolivia), free and we cant argue if just for cover because we had a guy called segundo castillo for cover last year! although his shin-roller against Leige was a classic and maybe my favourite moment of the season! he was utter garbage! COYB lets get our 1st clean sheet of the season against Fulham!
  23. i dont think DM will start the new signings, he has a tendency to break them in gently (sounds like a night with pete price). I think he will start with "tony i ball watch and dont track ther runner hibbert" and ossie. i would love to see both of them dropped because although hibbert has been venturing forward and actually passing a ball he is still always a weakness when marking a winger and i have not been impressed with ossie at all this year on the right! he was poor for most of last year with a few decent perfomances which people always seem to remeber but not his poor games which where in the majority. he is not a winger and looks more comfortable in the middle but i would still start rodwell over him. i hope we start with rodwell as he can spot a pass and looks calm with the ball, i dont think "burn out" will be a problem with him as he is young and starting for the first team should give him an adrenalin rush which could see him get through. felli has been off the pace and i dont think we should start him just because he is our record signing, he looked good when he came off the bench against wigan and this could see him play better once he realised he can actually get dropped! i would love to see heitenga at right back and billy on the right wing but i dont think DM will as both hibbert and ossie have prem experience and Fulham are a decent side with Hodgson in charge. I would love to see us sign a big brute in the middle who can break things up and just play the simple passing game like essien, diarra and them sort of players. our midfield is crying out for a defence mid! i predict a 2-1 win against fulham, cahill and saha.
