  1. I am working class, grew up working class, most of the people I know are working class. But I live in a very safe Tory seat, I would say that the Majority of the people that live in my constituency are working class, with low incomes with high Mortgages and Low wages (when compared with London) but most of the stupid bastards vote Tory or Liberal, and I can't beleive UKIP have just got in down the road in clacton. Why .

I think its a southern thing, this area of North Essex has not had Major industrialization like London and the North and is mostly rural The biggest employer Paxman deisels shut years ago, but they don't believe in Labour, when I explain that they represent the working man, they still believe in the Tories.

  2. I Was talking to this American in Minesota through work last week, and was talking about American football, she was a Vikings fan, when she asked me what EPL team I Supported, I said Spurs, she said Everton, I asked why Everton ? she said that she thinks that they are the closest to the Vikings in Style and history, so is how they pick their English teams to Support ? ( this would explain why there are no Arsenal fans in the US) any way she is planning a trip over here in the spring, and plans to get in an Everton game, how things change .

  3. Good evening my Scouse mates, Sorry for not wishing you good luck before the game.

I thought it was entertaining and perhaps a draw might have been fairer, 2 Penalty shouts at the end, and in my opinion it would have been harsh if either was given, you had your spells of domination, but failed to break us down, I felt your full backs got into good crossing positions, but seemed scared to, which is a waste considering Lukaku's threat, Coleman is very similar to our Kyle Walker like's to get forward but does Fuck all, Howard should have done better for Ericksen's.

From our point of View it was a much needed win ( although I would rather it was against anyone else) and a very good batling display, the ref was awful although got the penalties right.

Good luck the rest of the season, Hope you beat Liverpool, Le Scum, Chelski and shut those Big headed City fans up, who quite frankly are getting on my tits, they forget it wasn't that long ago they were playing Colchester Utd.

  4. Trying to remain objective and impartial this is my view of the game obviously my focus was on how Spurs played

1st Half Everton were quicker to the ball in every department, and had 4 reasonable chances to score and perhaps the best fell to Osman, had he had put it either side of Lloris then it would have been a different game, the crowd would have started getting on the players backs and it would have been difficult for us to chase the game. Penis and Baines were causing all sorts of strife to Walker and Danny Rose looked out of his depth, we didn't trouble you too much although Dembele was causing problems in central midfield, just a shame he had trouble distinguishing between a blue shirt and a white one overall 1st half was Evertons

2nd half we were better but Everton still posed a threat, Walker had a better half ( surely England has a better choice RB) Paulinho still could not make any sort of impact, Miralles seemed to just go past our players but fail to deliver, Coleman got better, but we started to get the run of the ball you were getting in the first We scored a well taken goal quick delivery from walker caught your defenders out and Adebayor finished well, then we did our best to let you get back into it, some strange substitutions Defoe was just to say thank you. Referee had an OK game and you could have had a penalty at the end

Everton impressed me and were unlucky today on chances created you perhaps should have won, on balance of play a draw would have been a fair result, The race for Top four still has a long way to go although unless Liverpool implode, or Suarez gets injured (here's hoping) 4th is theirs maybe even 3rd with the Scum 4th

Good Luck for the rest of the season

  5. This is an Everton Forum and I don't want to focus on Spuds, but as the point has been made we actually made a profit of £8 million in transfers, whether we bought wisely is a matter for some heated debate on the Spurs forums.

I think Martinez has shown what a quality manager he is, and I said at the time Moyes is the wrong man for united, and even if they spend big in the summer will not be in the Job long term.

I thought the loss of Felaini would hurt Everton and I am happy to be proved wrong, although I think they lack a bit of firepower up front although Lukaku on his day can be a match winner. I wish Everton all the best and if we don't finish 4th I hope they do at Liverpool's and UTD's Expense as I think the top 3 will be City, Chavs and Scum in that order

  6. Better than McCarthy, barry and Barkley? Sorry don't agree with that

Of course you wouldn't, you know Evertons Midfield better than me, but a fulll Brazilian international, a Belgian international , and young lad that since his debut in December has the best passing and tackling stats in the league suggests that our midfield are no slouch's, its other areas that let us down and where you have to exploit

  7. No disrespect but even with out Dembele I feel our central midfield pairing is better than yours we have Paulinho, Bentaleb, Capoue it's our full backs and up front where we struggle, so I predict that your defence will be quite, but how you get at the back four, west ham played over the top and through the middle which worked, City gave Walker and Rose a torrid time which worked, if penis plays then he'll have a good game against walker

Tough game to call 0-0 at goodison and either side could have won it in reality I'll go for 2-1 Spurs

    COYS

  8. Dembele is an enigma he seems to drift past players at will, but does not deliver consistently enough to be great. He is big and strong with a great left foot he could be the complete midfielder, but he mis-times his tackles constantly which means he gets booked a lot, for a big lad he does not win that much in the air, he rarely delivers an incisive pass usually looking to pass wide, frustrating because he does have so much ability, and I wish he would shoot more

  9. Will be a tricky game but I believe we have enough to beat them at the lane. The real threat is Erikson he's the one that makes things happen for Spurs.

Will be interesting to see the battle between Dembele and McCarthy.

    Would love Dembele here.

Will Lacina Traoure be on the bench?

Dembele's Injured Sandro and Paulinho should start, but my feeling is Bentaleb will start who's not bad

  10. We are gonna tear your defence to pieces because this season we have been scoring for Fun

    Hang on .............

We are at home so Tottenham Hotspur (Suvern Cockney Scumbags) 0 Everton ( Northern Scouse Nice people) 5 or maybe 6

interestingly we have played 3 teams at home from the north west Liverpool scored 5 Man city scored 5 or was it 6 I don't know, I had put my foot through the screen by the time the 4th went in, and Moyes's United who failed to score.

So it looks good for your boys on Sunday, mind you Sandro the Beast will be back, as will Vertonghen, Soldado is £28.5 million piece of shit who couldn't score in a cheap brothel in Clacton on rainy tuesday night.

Good luck to you and lets pray that we both come out injury free ( and a Spurs victory) I think 4th will be Liverpools (we call them the Bindippers)

  11. Disappointing result but in reality a fair one for both sides, we were better in the first 25 minutes, 2nd half you were better, a penalty each would have been fair, better than last seasons result, Good luck to Everton the rest of the season, please beat the Scum(arsenal) and the Chavs(chelsea) I hope we both finish in the top 4 Tottenham 1st and Everton 2nd would be ideal

  12. Big IF Steve. But possible.

Hiya Paul good to see you again my old mate. I really miss 101.

So do I Rubes, use FB a lot now but there's a lot of arseholes that if they don't agree with you become unnecessarily abusive, this is arguably the best forum I have seen a real decent bunch of people, never really gave Everton a thought before I came on here, but now I look at their results and would like to see them do well, except today.

  13.

I think the title is perhaps a step too far, but it's certainly not out of the question. I made the point that once their signings gel they'll be better than they were least season, because last season they were dependent on a single player. Everything went through Bale, but he's not a playmaker type, and that's why they struggled and needed late screamers from him to win games. This season however, their team will surely become more balanced given the signings they have made. Their team is overall stronger with the likes of Paulinho, Lamela, Eriksen, Townsend and Soldado, and as a result they're more well equipped to control games in the first place and not require late goals to bail them out of trouble (no pun intended).

Some people see the above as a controversial point because it essentially claims that Bale was more of a problem than a solution, but it basically boils down to it being better to have a balanced team than one 'star' who you rely on to come up with something late in a game. Of course the ideal scenario would have been for Bale to stay and the new players to be added to him, but I think Levy played a cracker in getting RM to vastly overpay for him and therefore having more cash to strengthen the squad. It's a team game, not individual.

Going back to Everton, though, the fact you lose so few games (as you say) is a factor in my thinking as well. I think it's hard to call because it could be any of the three results, so that's why i'm sitting on the fence with a draw, leaning towards you if one team does win it.

Spurs are actually struggling to break teams down at home right now (partly because they haven't gelled yet as we say, but the fans are also getting on their back), so they might actually prefer to come to Goodison and have a team take the game to them. What I would say is that Martinez shouldn't be too gung ho at the weekend, as Spurs can carve teams open on the break away from home - it's working through compressed space that's their problem right now.

So an attacking yet disciplined performance from you lot may well see you take the points.

Brilliant post Nikica. Some very good points there, but I would say that our defence has been playing very well (Wet sham game aside) , AVB likes this high line with Lloris acting as Sweeper, this leaves us open to a ball over the top with a Quick striker on to it ala West ham, but there is too much probing, and side and back passes, in most of our games we have had more possession but created few chances. The Everton back 4 will not be troubled too much tomorrow unless Baines puts his boots on the wrong feet (here's hoping ) Midfield is the Key area Dembele and Paulinho will probably start, and Everton will need to bypass themto get any Joy, even at Goodison I would let spurs come onto you then a well placed pass into the gaping hole for Lukaku to run onto 3-0 Everton

  14. I have distanced myself from the Y word debate as I don't really understand the complex issues that it raises, I have never called myself a Yid and never will, because A, I am not Jewish and B, have nothing against Jews or Jewish/Yiddish culture and fear that it could be offensive. I have witnessed the idiotic hissing and anti - Semitic chanting against Tottenham fans from mainly Chelsea and West Ham fans, and can see why Spurs fans countered this by calling themselves Yids. It seems to me to be so unnecessary and surely we all support our clubs for different reasons and its all about the entertainment on the pitch, hoping that the Teams we are attached to win some silver ware, not as a platform to vent some political frustration or pursue a racist agenda, I am aware its all too easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment when several thousand individuals around you are chanting some diatribe towards opposition fans (the Wisdom of crowds), there is a fine line between banter and what is unacceptable, Spurs fans claim to be anti racist but a different story when Sol Campbell played at white hart lane for the Vermin
