  1. He's got the most goals for us by far this season and the second most assists in our squad. No pesky argument of "he doesn't do this or that" is going to work with me. Messi doesn't run 12km a match, ageruo doesn't score enough headers, Moussa dembele doesn't score enough goals, matic isn't a good enough dribbler. So what? No player is perfect. No player has every single aspect of his game perfected. Nearly 30 goals and assists combined this season in 32 games and people still believe we will be better off without that a season. Absolutely dillusional.
  2. What part of my argument was flawed? Because you accused me of having a flawed argument then in the next sentence backed my argument up. What is the point you're trying to make? Because mine is that we can progress further with Lukaku, rather than without him. And a quick one too, if you look at the way we usually set up against bigger teams we generally sit back, isolating the striker. He won't score because he's on his own up there. Yet he scores against "smaller" teams because we dominate games, giving him more chances. Listen to what you're saying and whilst you're at it listen to what others are saying.
  3. Heard a lot from this rumour, it seems to have real substance. Only seen a YouTube video of him and he looks good in the air. I expect him to be someone to hold up the ball for us.
  4. The best way for us to get into the CL is to keep rom. If you think that losing a 25 goal a season striker is going to help us in any way you're short sighted. As for the "big games" rom has the most goals against the "top 6" teams out of any leading goalscorer this season. Not many strikers score against the top teams because they concede less. It's not rocket science.
  5. In all honesty I'd rather stay in Goodison Park if it meant we had to have a track. Waste of a stadium.
  6. People aren't so keen on the idea mark. It's not like he's going to refuse to play. He wants to put himself in that shop window more than anyone else.
  7. I don't think Romey is happy enough to reply yet, after all he has just used the c-bomb (Not that I'm disputing that).
  8. I said this awhile ago. We've got money. I'd rather fail to gain the 60/70 million and take the risk we will get into the CL in the next 2 seasons, allowing his contract to expire and potentially be able to secure him on a new contract if we succeed. Those 50 or so league goals he will score in the next 2 seasons are worth the risk, we won't get into the CL in the next 4 or 5 seasons without Rom. There isn't a single risk free player we can realistically replace him with anywhere near the ability of him.
  9. Take a look at Perez enjoy that sinking ship mate.
  10. Went for Young Davies Holgate Lookman (Barkley would be in there but I refuse to class him as "young", he's had that excuse for years) Player Gana Lukaku Williams Goal Davies Barkley vs bournmouth Coleman
  11. I suppose he can only get consistent game time if someone gets an injury for a month or two. In addition, next season were back in 2 cup runs and fingers crossed the Europa League. He could be a great rotation player and hopefully push for a starting place. But of healthy competition.
  12. If he can iron out those silly mistakes (which I'm sure anyone would improve with consistent game time) and learn from Schneiderlin how to protect the ball better he could be magnificent.
  13. I'd hate for any of those to be dropped, but as soon as he gets an opportunity when either Gana or davies get injured I'd say stick him in ahead of Jimmy Mac. If Schneiderlin was injured stick Barry in his place not Besic.
  14. Almost every athlete wants to play at the top level, Rom included. I'm not condoning how he's gone about it, however place yourself in his shoes. He's one of the best strikers in the world and he's at a club who finished 11th in back to back seasons and are about to finish 7th. As a professional it's acceptable for him to aim for the highest level, and highest wages. Nothing wrong with wanting to earn more money in your career. You're right, he might go to Man United who offer him astronomical wages with no CL football, but they're on track to gain CL football in the next couple of seasons and will attract huge names to help them get it. In the next 3 years would you be surprised to see them battling for the league with Morinho in charge along with more huge name signings? I wouldn't. I don't think he would go to China for 500k+ a week. I genuinely think he wants to play at the top level. How do you expect him to react? "I'must happy here battling for Europa League football?" Not a chance.
  15. With consistency in his game I have no doubt he will be a top player. Hopefully he can remain fit! He's a perfect player for Koeman to rotate with too. Energetic, Strong tackler and anyways looks forward. Edit: and for the record IMO Gana is the worst passer of the ball in the whole starting squad, by a country mile. He's only comfortable going backwards and sideways and sometimes he even makes a pigs arse out of that!
  16. Can be a great rotation player. Similar to Gana although takes more risks however is a better passers.
