  1. Surprised at Pennington starting, best of luck to the lad. Glad to see he stuck with DCL too.
  2. I want something more specific to Everton. I like New Goodison, or New Goodison Park.
  3. Says he could be out the rest of the season according to the everton website. Get well soon Funes.
  4. He's done really well and I hope he moves and gets game time. No pro footballer should be 24 with less that 50 pro caps. I think he's found his level now.
  5. Surly this is a joke? Someone tell me it's a joke.
  6. I shall let you know by Friday mate. The Mrs is being undecisive... like a... well, like a female.
  7. Anyone want to buy a ticket for this game who can't get one? My Mrs is selling hers as she can't make it.
  8. I think the eesk gets slated quite a lot. He knew about the 5pm stadium accoutrements 24 hours before despite everyone saying it would me at 1pm.
  9. Do you mean tib fib? And if so does that mean both are broke?
  10. "Gaffer I'm not fit" "You're playing anyway" Can't see it in any team.
  11. I'm sure if Macca had a world with Martin O'Neil he wouldnt play him. It's Maccas responsibility as much a MO'N
  12. So that's probably Coleman out too for the Derby to add to that extensive list. Brilliant. Looks like a break to me! Hope he is okay. Absolutely disgusting challenge Wales have been at it all night. We would miss him massively.
  13. Good article, well presented point. Either way it doesn't dampen my point that Lukaku goals would be worth the value of his contract over the next 2 seasons. Not that the club will see it that way, they'll want to take the high fee and potentially invest in a striker from another league. It's hard to get quality up top when you haven't got CL football to offer. There is so much potential in some youngsters in foreign leagues which I'd love to have at Everton.
  14. When has he down tools in the past? You're looking at the fee of the situation at a very bias angle. I'm putting a price on the goals he would return in the next 2 years, along with the potential progression into the CL. We wont get into the CL without a "20 goals a season" striker in the next 3 or 4 seasons. I don't enjoy the "glamour" of having a goalscorer. I enjoy us actually not having to worry about scoring goals and going through intense dry patches. Of course you need a prominent goal scorer to be successful. If you want to win a league you HAVE to have a goalscorer up front. Name me a team that's won the premier league without one. You don't win the league without a Vardy, Costa, RVP, Aguero, Berbatov, Henry. A natural goalscorer is the most important part of a successful team. If he isn't firing, you aren't winning things.
  15. 1. Not really, he still wants to earn himself a place in the best squad he can be in, and the better he plays the further to the front he goes into the shop window. Lots can change in 2 years and people can be forgotten about (I'm not suggesting nobody will want him in 2 years if he does down tools, however some teams will lose interest, limiting his options). 2. It's not "paying" £750k a week, it's failing to gain £750k a week, there is a big difference. 3. We would have to find goals from elsewhere. But how many seasons before rom (in the past 15-20 years) have the words "if only we had a natural finisher" been uttered. Look at the teams above us, all of them have a 20 goals a season striker, minus Liverpool and even without their top scorer, Mane, they massively struggled.
  16. Absolutely ridiculous Ireland need to be fined or sanctioned or something he literally gets played every single game unfit and ends up injured when he returns. More to the point McCarthy shouldnt be so stupid to be agreeing to starting games when he clearly isn't fit. He's fucking himself over. That's that for me he isn't going to get a good enough chance in the team to prove himself under Koeman. Would like to see him gone in the summer, clearly can't get fit and is clearly not trying hard enough.
  17. Now nobody shoot me here, but we should refuse to sell him and let his contract run out. Doesn't that make sense? Say for example if we got 70 million for him this summer, that would be 35 million over 2 seasons we would lose on him. 70 million for 50 or so goals and progression in the EPL and Uefa Cup. Heck we could even seal a CL spot and he may stay because of that. Let's face it, realistically we have enough money to miss out on that 70 million and replace it with guaranteed goals. We have more of a chance of getting CL football in the next 2 seasons WITH Rom than we do in the next 3 or 4 seasons WITHOUT him. If someone offered you 130 goals from a striker over 5 seasons in exchange for 30 million would you take that?
  18. Good point! Completely forgot how much depth we have in midfield. I suppose id have to drop DCL there and put Ross where he's been starting recently. I think I prefer Mola out of him and DCL. If he gets a lot of space he would be dangerous running into it. Then again Mirallas is showing to pick up in form too. Who knows. Exciting times. But it's not like we will win it anyway haha
  19. By no means is that a good thing but Christ, how long has it been since someone injected a bit of passionate aggression into the Derby?
  20. Robles Coleman Williams Jags Baines Gana Schneiderlin Davies DCL Lukaku Lookman Go all out and try to out score the fuckers. They won't like that and will be shaken. If we let them play, surly, we will get battered. Got a feeling RK will want to set up with 5 at the back though. As long as he doesn't play 12 defensive midfielders like he did against spurs id be content.
  21. Planning permission, then purchase? Isn't that the way it should go?
