The better out and out strikers of the teams below us are as follows: Defoe Josh King Llorente Benteke Andre Grey Rondon Vardy None of these are acceptable replacements for Lukaku. Which means for me, we have to recruit externally which poses a risk. When we lose lukaku we are going to struggle massively unless we unearth a gem.

Yeah I'd be happy to see him excluded from the squad until after Russia 2018 but I doubt that's what he would want.

They were potentially yellows, but very very soft ones, but the thing what annoys me the most is that there were worse fouls before and after he got sent off from both teams which went unpunished. We defend well, but can always improve. Imagine next season with a better centre half (Keane, or Van Dijk if my dreams come true) to rotate into the line up and a class keeper (Hart, Schmeichel, Begovic etc) who will show up in the big games. Could have one of the best defensive records in the EPL next season.

Fingers crossed then! Don't like the thought of the extra games however will take European football as there is no chance we can push for CL this season. With Koeman I feel an air of confidence of the players feeling like we can win something. They'll be up for bringing the ECC home.
