I've not read the article (ignorant, I know!) But I'd be willing to bet my left bollock Barca don't want him back.

Done superb and been a big influence on our season. Needs to work a hell of a lot on his passing though. Sometimes his lack of ability going forward hinders his superb ability to defend.

With Barkley I can't help but feel that if you TRY to create 100 chances, and successfully create 40, that's 60 times attempts have failed and possession has been handed over to the opposition. It looks good because the laws of averages suggest that he will have created x amount of chances, however the amount of times he's attempted to makes those chances shows how wasteful he is in possession. He wastes possession so much during a game, which hinders the overall effort of the team. He has picked up form, of course, it's obvious to see, and he's doing really well. But he's still a hell of a long way from being a good number 10.

He's done really well since signing for them and I hope it continues. Doubt be will be wanted back here but I'd love to see him in the EPL next season.

When has he ever lacked commitment to the club? The club have lacked commitment to him if anything. He's wasted here and I'd have loved for him to move elsewhere in the EPL and lots of people to question why we ever sold him. Great talent, just selfish at times, but who isn't?

I thought he did well too, but I don't think he should have been brought on. As for DCL he's not quick enough. We needed a tenacious speedster, ideally Valencia or even Lookman. It was a poor tactical decision. I'm still not sure what DCL is specifically about.

I didn't agree with that faith I thought it was potentially poor game management, however it paid off. More to the point, I'm happier to see that he got game time because it looks like he will be starting the next few games for us now. We will get a real chance to see what he's like. That is of course unless he shifts Holgate into the centre and plays John Joe Kenny (who I believe is a full back but may be wrong?)

Gareth Barry, for me, was by far the best player on the field tonight. How he can perform so well at this level of football at his age is beyond me. Blocked everything and passed like a maestro. A real gem for us. Aside from that Barkley, Baines, Jags, Williams and Holgate were all class tonight. And of course Robles who did really well and saved what was expected of him.

Wrong subs tonight. Pennington proved he was nowhere near ready for Premier league football against the shite. DCL offers nothing. Valencia or Lookman needed to run at those tired legs. One point is almost as good as none in the position we are at the moment. we needed 3 to continue to aim any higher than a 7th place finish this season, anything above that has surly gone now. We did well to go there and we showed a good attitude, but it wasn't to be.

So does anyone else still actually see anything in him? Confident lad off the pitch, doesn't do anything to actually back it up on the field.

Well what a change from the weekend. Jagielka, Williams, Baines Barry and Barkley are all absolutely shining. Holgate looks great too had a great little touch on a class cross from young.

Barry and Barkley absolutely running the show. Gana needs to work on his passing. Simple things which he's making difficult.
