  1. I don't see him as a striker for us. See him more as a behind the striker player that can pop up top when nhe ended. Commercially it would be a no brainier. Barkley it would be a no brainer. Image too.
  2. Excuse me haha .... I'm a little slow you know! As you have all probably realised.
  3. Why? I think we're playing well and starting to gel. Spurs aren't running away with the title and on our day we can match them.
  4. I started of neautral, then to underwhelmed, to excited. People said he needed time and it seems he has a plan. A result on Saturday would be a real sign of intent, even just a competitive performance.
  5. I think that's a big thing I have noticed this year. The guys labelled as trouble makers seem to be the ones playing pranks and lifts by team spirits. Look at the way players celebrate with Rom when he scores.
  6. Seems better than the last three seasons to me. Always seems a massive part of that is Rom too. Great to see.
  7. One game at a time and slowly but surely we can turn his season into a successful one. Scared to hope!
  8. A true Everton legend. Never had the pleasure to see him live.
  9. Would like to see this one happen. A very good young player.
  10. Bloody hell I hate 99.9% That just fills me with nerves. Come on Rom, future captain.
  11. The way players celebrate with him shows a future captain. He leads by example, and if not here then somewhere he will.
  12. I know exactly what you mean Pad. First five minutes he lost the ball just on the edge of our area and Morgan saves him. But then a few minutes later he burst through and nearly scored. Excellent player and glad we took the gamble on him.
  13. Agree. He has even changed my mind and again that a goalkeeper isn't such the priority now. I still don't think he is good enough to take us to the next level, but he is a solid No1 for us and deserves his place. Credit to him for sticking at it and proving some of us wrong, me included.
  14. Well whoever suggested that is wrong, if I was you I would call them out for that one. That's ridiculous.
  15. Agree mate... what idiot suggested that?
  16. He just needs to keep performing thats all. But if you think I am going to change from not rating him, to singing him up like he is some messiah because he kept a clean sheet in a game where he didn't face a shot..... Matts point was, how many more does he need to convince people. My answer was simple..... more. We're talking him up like he is he answer to all our goalkeeping dreams. I just don't agree. But again ... yet again.... he is performing to a good standard and proving me wrong. But funnily enough... I am glad. But just like other players in our team. And I agree with most of he above posts. It's a team game and the whole defence and midfield deserve just as much credit as the goals. I don't think it's down to any particular individual being spectacular, but rather they are all performing to a good standard...not great, but good.
  17. Remember him playing for the youth sides. He scored a good few goals from cornered. He also wins most challenges in the air, but he takes the corners?
  18. I trained for MMA? I challenge anyone to do tougher. 12 weeks is more than enough to fight for your life, I play football at a high level for fun after that. Bills right, 12 weeks is enough to get fit. Pads right. There a difference between fit and high fitness. Matts spot on.... it's fun!
  19. I'm pretty sure that Ferguaon will celebrate just as much, if not even more as he is an Everton fan.
  20. Matt, I. Could get a clean sheet if there wasn't a shot on target.... surely even his biggest fans can see that. Put Messi in goals... no shots on target = clean sheet!
  21. I think he just wants to be able to play a match Pad. Don't think he's planning on running marathons or climbing Everest . 12 weeks will get him in shape enough to play 90 minutes to a good pace. After that it may change his lifestyle a bit and he can continue to get in better shape over time.
  22. The k ow it would be a logistic knightmare..... But imagine a TT against another forum match haha. We'll have a Goodison professional playing for us.
  23. Martinez would not have gone with that...cough cough!
  24. Put it like that, I would rather see Besic and Gana grow.
