  1. That's a complete brain fart! We weren't really under any pressure , but now!
  2. Bring Mirralas on at half time.
  3. Your right Haf, pretty spot on. But this shouldn't be a Lukaku thread, it should be an 80% of the team thread! So many of our players are underperforming and not working hard enough. No passion or belief. But the manager is that blame just as much as the players. He should be braver and make the rough hard decisions, I could pick the same team every week and lose.....it's easy.
  4. It's the message it sends across. We should be trying to motivate these players to perform, let them know they have a chance.
  5. You must recognise that he needs to improve in this area though? Off th ball movement would also create space for others to operate, which would in turn benefit him. Jus because others also need to improve, shouldn't mean he is exempt.
  6. Yes mate. He does it more often than stones did. But he does make it for it in so many other ways.
  7. I would give the young lad a chance, he looks pretty mature in that U23 team. Love his desire to get on the ball to.
  8. Simple fo me. Whichever way any of our players are playing, regardless of work rate, style or technique..... It's not good enough as we are shit. If this is the best we can expect from Rom then let's just sell and buy someone for half the price as it's not good enough.
  9. I don't get this guy! Niasse. I am never going I play you. I want to sell you, but I will make it public knowledge that you aren't good enough..... That will help sell him Ron. Young players. Even if you perform well in the u23s, I still won't pick you. Even if we lose the next ten games. Genius this guy!
  10. Not about being childish, for me it's about loving blue. I go to work in a red van....but I always comment to my mate that I hate it and we should spray it! I have a blue cup at home and make Anna change the cup if she makes me one in red! Obviously it's all tongue in cheek and I do it only for my lovefor Everton.
  11. That's real nice. Simple things like that can turn the stadium into a decent sight.
  12. Damn I am sad then haha. I avoid red as much as I can hahaha!
  13. It's true that it's not just Lukaku. Not enough of our players show the right amount of effort and desire. This is a huge problem for us.
  14. I don't know if it's sheer evertonism or not, but I can't remember a player in my generation that I have wanted to succeed so badly. Maybe this does mean I look at him with blue tinted glasses. But he undoubtedly has the ability and technical ability, if not knowledge, to become an Everton legend. Some of his goals have been absolutely breathtaking! I also think he creates more than given credit for. He is learning and does not lose the ball so cheaply anymore. Yes, he runs into brick walls... but it's at the right end now. He needs an arm around him, sure. But so many players do, just as in most sports and careers. The best sentence I have read the last few days is Johnh's Has Barkley ever used age as an excuse?
  15. Why are you all taking the bait guys? Ridiculous and disrespectful posts. I know many young soldiers and I can tell you that none of them go to war trying to lose their life or a limb for their country. I also know friends that are broken because of their time served. Yet here we have a young boy that had a triple break who is trying his best for his club at the very top level of a sport that uses that same broken leg as his main tool and , somehow......he isn't brace? So sad that people treat others with so much disrespect just because they earn money.
  16. That's brill Matt. Make sure you keep your boots clean for Saturday mate.
  17. He's played five for the u23s too....and scored 7. But that doesn't count as it's not the same level as the other European no leagues...which do count.
  18. Selling Ross would be madness, a team could be built around him. The key is learning how to use him effectively.
  19. Who is baseing it on one match? I for one aren't. But I stand by what I said... we looked much more likely to win then than we do now! We also looked like we have goals on us. You can judge a manager or player after one match, just as long as you accept you are judging them on one match.... Otherwise we could never comment that someone had a good game. My opinion on Ron, is that, after 13 games h has been disappointing and made some bad decisions. He has also made a mistake in not letting youth have a chance. If he goes on to win the next five I will gladly put my tail between my legs with a smile on my face.
  20. I don't want him sacked or anything, but I also cannot see any difference from last year or the year before.... other than our impotence up front. People say the defence is better, I just see less individual mistakes. The last two years I honestly thought that we lost games that we deserved to win. This year I think we have got everything we deserved so far.....other than we got lucky against City and West ham.
  21. Just looked at stats do Everton u23s 5 games 7 goals 314 minutes.
