I just can't wait till Villa...excited isn't the word. Just imagine what five goals confidence is going to give him, he must feel like a world beater at the moment. At the same time we need to make sure we don't expect too much from him......two goals and two assists should be enough.

And that goal. I thought he should have been given a longer run as he looked capable of producing some magic moments.

I'm too accurate with my right foot...everything goes down the middle. If i hit it with my left I usually slice it into the corners. Scored twice as many goals with my left...even though I'm right footed.

And someone is starting to notice that Barkley is becoming a better player, playing in a deeper position. Twelve months ago people called some of us stupid for suggesting it. But that post mentioned it so it must be right ;-)

Stones should be going there as a first choice option for centre half. That's what England are crying out for, ball playing defenders.

To be fair, most of the press agreed that he was one of the better ones. But I don't buy into the whole, let him do what he wants! He should work for the team and at least make an effort when an opposing player runs the ball over his laces. If we don't work on that aspect then I'm pretty sure he will end up another could have been. If we could work a little grit into his game then in my opinion...and it's just an opinion, it would make him double the player he is already. And if that's writing him off...then OK then.

Not slagging him off and not praising the others either. Just frustrated with him that's all. I think he's much much better than last night. I also think that although the others weren't anything special...they did seem more effective to me. Sterling also put a few dangerous balls in and almost had a few assists. Kane, surprised me. Held the ball up really well, had a few decent efforts and was the only one who put any pressure on there defence. I know Ross is so much better than that. He should never be a.. Going through the motions...type player, which last night he did.

I know what it is that frustrates me...he is like a shadow when the opposition have the ball. Sometimes just chasing down a player can earn your team an unlikely goal. Ross is just so easy to play against when he doesn't have the ball.

I actually thought Sterling was effective while Ross was wasteful...but they have Ross 8. Maybe I have too much expectations of him.

True, it was a poor team. Just frustrated that he didn't stand out amongst them. The likes of Kane, Sterling, lallana and Delpth didn't do themselves any harm while Ross just didn't look like he should be on the pitch. He's just capable of so much more...if only he had that desire.

So frustrating to feel this way.....take Ross off, he needs replacing with a non pedestrian player. Just so ineffective. 10 minutes of looking good....the rest...out of his league. Hate international matches sometimes.

Better there Ross. Nice turn, good pace getting forward and then a tame shot but much better. Must have read my post.

Come om Ross,make some noise at least. There's not many better opponents to showcase against. Hardly seen him so far. Gotta say that Kane is surprising me. Plays well as a lone striker.

Our only decent corner taker isn't getting into the team at the moment. Mirralas is the only one who puts it in with real pace.

Villa beware haha. Damn im excited for our next match. He's just getting better and better. Hope Messi comes back on form :-/

Disturbing. Three or four years ago I used to feel relieved when we scored from open play as we didn't see creative enough to carve out chances. Though at the same time we were known for being dangerous at set pieces. What we needed at that time was to add open play goals to our game. But not at the expense of our deadly set plays. We need a mix of both to make teams really fear us.

Was just thinking the exact same thing. Because at Everton we play a high tempo pressure game?

To be fair that's a good attitude. Seems he is recognising that others are on form and that is why he is having difficulties getting back into the team. And he wants to prove himself. Can't really knock that.
