Now that I can agree with Haf. It's the hunger that he lacks and pure aggressiveness. To make a top player you need to want to prove your are better than anyone else. Win every personal duel on the pitch. He doesn't do that for me. Way too much the nice guy.

You have to accept an argument from Haf with that link. Simply it puts him at the low end of chance conversions. In a team like ours that is huge. Those stats are saying that he needs to improve his finishing, but that is he is getting in the right positions. I started further up the field, but got moved into the middle due to me being.. Too accurate...I always hit the centre of the goal. Scored more from midfield that from a forward position. What does bode well is that like it or not....he is still young and already he is getting the chances. Once he learns that slice...goals will come.

The reality is there are a lot better business modules than our club out there. We would need a massive injection to change our fortunes, relocation etc. But we are in the premier league and one of the top half teams. If other teams overtake us...then I will still love Everton just as much. Money does not make trophy and success.

I just thought we didn't have anyone to fit that slot when we sold him. It's not always what the players worth, but how you can replace them.

I wouldn't want to sell him. Been one of best for the past three years. Not only does he offer an attacking threat but due to his pace he often sweeps up at the back. It would be very difficult to replace him. Would remind me of letting Arteta go.

Don't agree with him.being a defensive liability....he is our sweeper with his speed.

The best defenders stay on their feet...then when it comes to tackle they time it perfectly. A defensive player that can't tackle would be a real worry.

It's something like the 24th top scorer in the league. Lukaku had a really good season in Euro. Golden boot. Overall he had an average season. He is only 22... Like or not it's true. He did improve his game overall..in my opinion. If he puts a bit of aggression into his game like Btay mentioned then I cam see him being a 20 goal a season player. He also notes himself that he needs to work harder. Let's give the lad a chance and see of he can live up to his own mouth and become what I'm sure we all want him to be. I am 100% sure that Haf and MC would love to see Lukaku hit 30 a season. As all of us would. Let's get behind him and Everton now and become that 12th player again We need some morale on this forum not just the football pitch.

Agree with a few things here. Matt Lukaku passing is actually one of his most impressive attribute. He regularly strokes a diagonal ball onto our wingers toes. Btay Lukaku has the strength but lacks aggression. Too much mister nice guy...not competitive enough.

Never really saw much good from him. Think I saw him score a pretty good goal...then watched him in a match....didn't notice him.
