Yeah. Be so harsh for a team to get relegated off the back of a points punishment. It's simply backward thinking by Masters. Mind, what can we expect when there's no actual process in place? To be fair, that all sounds pretty good.

He is capable though. I think as a team we use him for all his other strengths and neglect him in terms of allowing him to be in the best places to finish. Let's not forget, before this season he had 2 injury riddled seasons where his appearances were very stop-start. Before that, he had 2 seasons of getting 15 and 21 goals for us...when told to focus on just being a striker. He also netted 4 times for England. It's mad frustrating for us all that we know, whatever opinions on other matters are, that a scoring DCL...even just another 5-10 goals this season so far...would have us in a very different position. Hopefully he can now get some confidence back and have some sort of impact for us.

Ah shit I forgot about that. Bollocks Still...could be argued we have 18 points to fight for where we mostly have a favourable chance to win (I write off the Shite and Arsenal. Chelsea can be done though).

Thought I wouldn't be writing in this topic much It feels very much in our own hands fixture wise. 8 games to go. 5 of those against teams in 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th. Really hope that, even though it was a penalty, DCL gets a boost in confidence. A nice 5 or so goals could make a big difference for us. All in absolute hope of course!!!

Won't change it though I'd probs feel 'safest' with Gana in along with Garner and Gomes. I know Gana causes debate, but he's the best we have at cleaning up. So leave him back to do that. Let Garner and Gomes off the leash a bit. Doucs and Onana, away from all out effort, aren't giving us what we need.

Eeeeeh. I know it's easier said than done, but I kind of hoped, with our lack of goals and winless streak, we might have found a way to play DCL and Beto. I also know we don't have an abundance of options. But it feels a bit like 'hit and hope'. Just keep going and hope something changes. I guess we'll see plenty of balls being played out wide, and crosses coming in for the defence to clear. Don't expect anything from today regardless. Hoping for a gutsy, hard performance like we had for the first 4months of the season.

That wouldn't be difficult. And I really hope/think you are. I don't understand why you have to have a different persona on the forum? Why not just be the 20x nicer version? Rather than the version that acts as you do? I think you're alienating people that have been 'with you' on here for years. You've always been bullish with your opinion, sound. But I can't remember you always being so aggressive with it? I can't remember you always calling people this and that. I always thought you stood against things like that. Now, the forum persona will probably call me this n that. But if the 20x nicer version exists, he'll take it in the context that it's intended. Like many of you guys, I've been on this forum for years. I had a previous account (possibly just Newty...didn't use it for ages then couldn't remember my details when I came back, so creatively renamed myself ). I also had a forum persona for too long. Those long running battles with MC. I was also more argumentative than I am in 'real life'. It wasn't me. I was likely frustrated in work, and used this as a kind of outlet. Hence, I pulled away for ages. Now, whenever I feel I'm going to revert back to that persona, I go away again. Like I did recently reading this thread. When I feel that little fire burning, nah, fuck it. I'm out for a bit. That's my fault by the way. No one else's. Plus, to be honest, I simply don't have the time to waste on here arguing over opinions . Life's too short to be spending so long in such argumentative discussions that go round in circles. So, yeah, if you're genuinely a decent bloke, then just be the 20x version .
