Jimmy the blue
Is it me or are any other posters getting a bit pissed off with news stories and TV programmes covering this girls apparent inevitable death. I hugely disliked her even when she was healthy, her only talent being that size of her mouth, that said I do feel a great deal of sympathy towards her children. Those same kids must be going through great anguish at what seems to be a Max Clifford money making jamboree, their mothers death. The media coverage is distasteful in the extreme, young mothers die week in and week out unfortunately without their lives being scrutinised to this degree, without their children being made financially indepent. I feel we are being forced to follow this persons demise whether we want to or not. The fact that I believe her to be a racist should not affect my feelings at all but it does unfortunately and it adds to the abhorence I feel about this entire event. I'm sorry any one has to die from a pernicious disease such as cancer but why make it so public beats me. Is she donating any of the money being raised to cancer charties may be that would reduce my unease about the entire affair Am I wrong to feel this way or do some of you feel about it in a similar fashion. jamiemaher85
I have never liked her personally but would never wish anything like this on anyone, no matter what there character. I personally think that positives can be taken from the huge media coverage behind the story. The awareness of Cervical Cancer is bigger than ever before and the amount of people who are no goiong for smear tests for cervical cancer has increased ten fold. If this even leads to one person finding out earlier and possibly being cured from this then the huge and opver-the-top media campeign surrounding Jade will have been worthwhile. I still don't like her as a person, but feel sympathy for her family and especially her children.
dark
I think its great that her strength has encouraged more women to go for smear tests and if she wants to spend her remaining time in the public to make money for her boys then so be it. She isn't the brightest of characters and one of the most annoying on TV but if she is going to even save one woman of cancer then it has been worth it. She should be able to live her life as she wants now because we don't know how long she has left. The media have blown it out of proportion but from the money she gets she can help her boys when she's gone. It would have been better to see some of it go to Cancer Research but its her wish, it's her money. It's a shame anyone who has cancer can't spend their ending days in the papers and tv in order to provide for their families, but on the other flipside to that, I suppose it's because of who she is that she can. She's not the best person in the world but it's still sad to know that her time is coming. Best Wishes to her
aaron
what gets me is a year ago she was getting death threats and now i bet the same people are like "awww hope she gets better" well be careful what you wish for. Its a very sad story yes, i feel for her family but it is being blown far too much out of proportion. Papers everyday have her on the front cover. What about pauline fowler? Nothing about her until she died.
MikeO
What about pauline fowler? Nothing about her until she died. That's Wendy Richard mate. Sorry to break it to you but Eastenders isn't real . Understand why Jade's doing it, not her fault she's famous, and that we seem to celebrate ignorance in this country (girl off University Challenge getting a load of crap for being clever last week...wtf?). I don't think she's a racist any more than millions like her, just uneducated...again, not really her fault. Think she turned that around in the last year or so anyway. Sad that anyone dies like this. Max Clifford is the real slime here.

Jimmy the blue
I find it incredible that our media pay more attention to this than lads being killed in Afghanistan. The other day BBC placed this new event higher in the daily pecking order than three lads lost in a roadside bombing.......................that I find insulting to every service man
Lowensda
I think it's hugely unfair what she's doin with publicity around her death. Her kids are the benificiary from the money right? Undoubtably they are going to be in the spotlight at some time in their adult life, but they will only be remembered as the kids that were, through the death of their mother!? It might be just me, but those kids are gonna get a hell of alot of sympathy from the media, but get bullied to shit. Selling your 'rights' to your final hours, in my mind, is like prostitution. jimmytheblue, i completely agree with you aswel, how she can get on the tv before more important issues, i have no idea?! Ive never like Goody but saying that id never wish anythin on anybody. and i actually hope she gets better!
Ian C
In fairness to her, her kids would never have had any great memories of her when they grow up, they're very young. Through this she is providing for a great future for them, and no doubt they will have hours of video and reels of photos of every minute of their mother's last few months. While I don't want to see this becoming a trend, this is definitely making the best out of a bad situation. And if even 1 woman survives cervical cancer because it was caught early from a jade goody inspired smear test, then jade's finally made her life worthwhile to the world. Like Ten said I would not wish any one any harm but I have to draw the line when the media choose to wallow in this girls grief for profit. Most news outlets describe her as a star.........................................since when could this woman ever be called a star, she is talentless. Todays dripping story is she has gone blind in one eye and may never see her sons again.......................................it is over sentimentalised bull like that I find truly objectionable. Many more deserving cases exist across this country but we are force fed stories of this type why. I feel sorry for her friends and family but enough is enough when our media place this story far above the innocent soldiers killed in N Ireland, women getting murdered by bullying male partners, many others dying from dreadful diseases. The fact that a minor amount of money is being pledge to cancer charities cuts no sway with me, did she do cancer charity work before she got the disease no she was simply pissing it up across the globe and it is only now some pledges are being made. Jade Goody would never be a Marina Dalgliesh The British public deserve far better news coverage from the media than the stories being served up concerning Ms Goody

You can guarantee that the papers, magazines and TV programmes that are featuring Jade will have circulation/viewing figures through the roof as long as this lasts. thebluenose
its really annoying me now. shes never out of the news. ok shes highlighted an issue which many people dont like to talk about and smear tests have gone up massivley since she became terminal. but now shes had the wedding and the christening and the tv programmes and her being in hospital can she now just die in peace and with dignity like wendy richards did ( i actually had no idea she had cancer coz she was never in the news). and the whole 'all money raised is going to her children' thing is annoying as well. she was hardly living in squalor before her illness was she. id have more respect for her if she gave a large proportion of the money to cancer research like bobby robson has done. dark
Wikipedia In August 2008, she appeared on the Indian version of Big Brother, Bigg Boss, but withdrew early from the show and returned to the UK after being told she had cervical cancer. In February 2009, after the cancer metastasised, she was told that it was terminal. She married Jack Tweed on 22 February 2009. Goody died in her sleep on 22 March 2009. Mac
Heard about that on talksport this morning. Now watch the fun and games start over the custody of those two lads. Jades mam is hardly a shining example of motherhood and the fella of hers is a scumbag. We have not seen half of this circus yet, two terrible people who have pound signs in their eyes. Watch this space folks. ATB Mac

StevO
its all a sad ordeal, but if i had kids and i knew i was dying i'd happily make a mockery of my own life to make sure my kids had the best of everything in their lives. i dont think clifford can be blamed, he was hired by jade to make her as much money as he can for the kids. im sure she'll give money to the charities, and her children will now be financially secure. the kids were fathered by her ex i believe, surely they'll live with him. if she has died, RIP

dark
For all that the recent events have annoyed me its a shame what has happened. At the end of the day it is still a human life. I don't know what will happen about the children, Jackie dosen't seem like the perfect choice after what happened on the Big Brother show. That was the years when I was fully into it and for the week that she was in the house I didn't take to her. The next person to turn to is Jack, but as we all know he's being sentanced to jail for assault. He has made it a public fact that he dosen't like Shilpa and agrees with what Jade said, the fact is that he's a loose cannon. He's been in jail once for attacking a lad with a golf club and n 3 March 2009 he was convicted of common assault for attacking a taxi driver in May 2008. It's all going pear-shaped... Just what happens next? I think that this is going to be in the news for a lot longer than people thought.
