Blue 250
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-m3agxvwYY The best thing about today!! Even better is that a Red threw the ball/balloon on dick head! This is the same goalkeeper who thought Andy Johnsons head was a football! Now to be honest Johnsons head was kinda like a football!..... but today it was twice as big and bright red, and yet he still went for it

MikeO
I understand Rafa has said that he doesn't blame the ball for the goal and is in fact considering giving it a start on Tuesday against Lyon in place of Lucas . Gotta be an improvment hasn't it?
jamiemaher85
Liverpool fan's dont have a leg to stand on about complaints regarding this. It was Liverpool fans that have thrown the ball on the pitch in the first place. Sure this got in the way of play but it was the Liverpool fans fault, they could have prevented a goal with that ball. Tools. Starting their own down fall, beautiful. Anyone else heard that Man City are considering a £40m bid for the beach ball?
holystove
Can't believe ref didn't stop the game to have the ball removed.

MikeO
What if they miss out on the top four by 1/2 points? Lose Champs League revenue. Administration. Relegation. Next stop the Blue Square. When you see this lad in the pub in future years buy him a drink . Actually he'll probably do well out of it....get himself an agent and appear on the next "Britain's Got Talent" in a double act with his ball. Make a few quid . Romey 1878
It's all a big conspiracy by United fans to stop Liverpool winning the league didn't you know?

xavier
Interesting that 'arrogant Rafa' didnt have a go at the ref. Some arrogant managers would have been asking for the referee's head after a gaffe half as big as that one.
CraccerC
less interesting more shocking...couldn't believe he didn't moan about it, moans about everything else.

Some arrogant managers would have been asking for the referee's head after a gaffe half as big as that one. Morning xavier. I think he has enough problems without worrying about a balloon, which by the way was brought along and thrown onto the pitch by your own supporters. Rafa is now seriously worried about the state of the clubs finances, they only just got a stay of execution last year with a late deal to mortgage the debt, but you cant keep going deeper and deeper into debt without paying off the original one. With us its a different story, we're possibly £40m in debt but with you its more like £440M. Four defeats already this season so the titles more or less gone again, and if you finish outside the top 4 you are in serious trouble, and then the ignorant Rafa will be on his bike. marcopaulo
i wonder...people are saying it shouldn't count because the ball got in the way and deflected it past the keeper...what if the ball was going in and then the balloon deflected it wide? what would be the ruling on that? Well Marcopaulo! Pretty simple really. IF the ball had been on target and the big red balloon had deflected it wide, then the ruling would be a goal awarded to liverpools opponents! That to me would satisfy most people  I think training this week for the liverpool goalkeeper should consist of flash cards being held up to him......some will have pictures of a real football on them, while others will be of random things, such as Andy Johnsons head, red balloons, rafa's arse ect!...all reina will have to do is shout SAVE!........or LEAVE, really could help you know. MikeO
4 loses on the trot. First time for 22 years and with United coming on sunday.... Followed by Arsenal, Fulham & Lyon all away....potential for much grief. Quick glance over at RAWK suggests they're turning on Carragher mostly....trust them to scapegoat an Evertonian . Wonder if they can hold off Debrecen and manage a Europa place ? That'd make life interesting.

He is doing a fantastic job, and can probably only get.........Better.He doesn't need an injury prone Torres and Gerrard, and an aging Carrigher to compete with the rest of the top 4! jamiemaher85
Hit the nail on the head with that one, and with Champions League football next year possibly slipping away they definatly could not afford to pay the £15 odd million he'd be owed for cancelling his contract.
