Lukovic would be an alright back-up i suppose, and if he is free, then why not, his wages wouldnt be too bad. Ballack won't happen, nor Riquelme, Kuranyi or Metzelder. Ledley has been touted as a promising young player but injuries have hampered him ever so slightly recently. Kallstrom is past his best and would be mid-table at best, Boyd hasn't got the right attitude IMO? Mario Santana is a good shout though mate, wouldn't mind myself! But he did score against us (Pens) to knock us out of Europe...so he owes us Edited May 10, 2010 by tenaciousj

flaminfox
I wouldn't mind Joe Cole and Christoph Metzelder
james_clarke
i would have- lukovic-at a good age on a free and can play LB or CB a position we need cover ledley-would take ledley as squad cover as even if he can't break into the team we could always sell him on for 3-5 million beckford-looks like a done deal anyway (i would then sell vaughan 3 million and yakubu for 8-10 million and buy a top class striker with the rest of money)
Andy Campbell
i would then sell vaughan 3 million and yakubu for 8-10 million and buy a top class striker with the rest of money completely agree also tenaciousj about ledley he would be a good squad player and like jayc said we could always sell him later on for a few million the same with beckford. i personally think that we should start making our own money if were not going to get taken over by a billionaire. Steve_E
I believe Kuranyi already signed with Dinamo Moscow and Metzelder did with Schalke.

c1982
I'm sure I heard/read somewhere that altintop the turk for bayern is a free agent this summer - not seen a lot of him but from what I've seen/heard he'd be quality - probably a team with more money will come in for him no doubt!
