Booing

Recommended Posts

Now then fellow tonians. I have always hated booing our own players as i think it does them no good whatsoever. I remember the abuse Unsy used to get and it made me cringe, he was after all blue through and through. In my opinion it can only damage the players (and the teams morale). BUT on the other hand, fans should have the ability to show there feelings through whatever means possible. What i am trying to get at is i think it is coming extremely close to the stage where King Louis is booed as his name is called out. He has been piss poor for a season now (since the extension of his contract) and i think the fans have the right to voice there dissaproval of his constant inclusion in the team sheet. Where do you stand on the matter and do you think it is time to voice our concerns over Saha's inclusion.

im not sure booing is the answer, id say just dont cheer when his name is mentioned. Like when parents should be angry (which is what you expect if you do something wrong) but say they theyre disappointed instead. That one always hurts more. I reckon not acknowledging him would make more of an impact. They only person on a pitch ive ever booed is the referee, but even then i wasnt proud of myself.

They are paid a fortune to play for our club. I would never boo a player who had a bad game as long as they showed effort. That is all we ever can expect.

Unfortunately as with the case of Saha, we have talented individual who is clearly not interested, we know he isn't and we deserve the right to let him know we will not stand for it. I would applaud beckford all day long even if he misses sitters because he is working the channels. You will never find certain players being booed and they are the likes of Cahill, hibbert, Neville and that is because they give 100%. sadly the same can't be said for our most talented players.
