scouse
Not good news on the Jags front! http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/everton-fc/everton-fc-news//tm_headline=everton-fc-s-phil-jagielka-ruled-out-of-christmas-programme-as-bordeaux-eye-louis-saha-move%26method=full%26objectid=27867067%26siteid=92534-name_page.html
Romey 1878
Let's hope Johnny's back. And if he's not I guess we'll see if youth really gets a go at Everton...
Bailey
Let's hope Johnny's back. And if he's not I guess we'll see if youth really gets a go at Everton... A tenner says that if neither of them are fit, it will be Hibbo or Neville that starts at CB. (PS thats an imaginary tenner!)
Cozza
Neville will move to CB and Hibbo to RB, which is unfortunate, I think Mustafi should have been given a shot, or Duffy.
Quinn31
Mustafi or Duffy should be given a shot over trying Hibbert or Neville at an unnatural position... What does a youngster have to do to get a start with this club(Gueye, Baxter, Duffy, Vaughan, Mustafi)! It's too bad that Johnny is still out, then we could actually play him at his natural position. scouse
Rodwell could drop back and move Ossie into the middle if Peanuts is back? when is Areta back?

Bailey
I dont think Rodwell is a good enough marker to be put into CB. A lot of people keep saying he will be moved back there in the future but I dont see it myself.

I know Moyes never gives any of the young lads a chance ( Rooney, Rodwell, Vic, Vaughan, Coleman, Gosling)
Noddy
I know Moyes never gives any of the young lads a chance ( Rooney, Rodwell, Vic, Vaughan, Coleman, Gosling) Moyes, like most managers, doesn't like taking chances at the back. He'll probably go for Hibbert or Neville over Shane. Although with that Zigic lad, Shane's aerial prowess would be valuable.

I'd rather not take the risk with him tbh, it might make the injury worse and him be out for months rather than weeks.

It's an interesting one indeed; painkillers? swelling making diagnosis difficult? Looks like Moyes is prepared to risk Jags, in the same way he risked Distin in Athens, despite him carrying a hamstring injury...
jcrawfor
The original story seemed pretty speculative; no quote from any club official. The OS makes it sound a lot less serious.

And that one worked out very well... ping
