Twintown Toffee
First let me say that I'm a lifelong baseball fan from the great state of Minnesota and my heart belongs to the Twins, that said however I have to admit to the discovery of a new love and that would be the Toffees of Everton. Being a typical Yank I've never really considered following soccer but this past fall my daughter and I decided to watch an EPL broadcast and we've been hooked ever since. After a lot of time spent researching english football on the web and watching games on the tube it became evident that Everton was the team for me. Unfortunately my daughter decided the other team from Liverpool was her side of choice and proudly wears a red jersey when we watch matches. Needless to say the FA cup semi this Saturday will be watched with keen interest in our house. Happy to have discovered this site and looking forward to spending time here in the future. GO TOFFEES! Twintown Toffee
Can your daughter not get counselling? What can I say she's stubborn, must get it from her mother.
rubecula
Welcome "Twintown" Good that you have seen the light at the end of the tunnel, I suppose a lot of us as kids went more into football when we also gave up a game of "rounders" Seriously though have a great time being an Evertonian, we really are a special breed, thriving on adversity and misery. (As well as destroying the Reds in the semi this saturday coming of course) No, not your daughter? She is bound to be a good fan of the sport and good luck to her..... just burn that bloody red shirt when she is asleep.
Twintown Toffee
Thankyou for the warm welcome. Evertonians and their team seem to embody what is important in sport, celebrate triumphs that are earned not those which are purchased. Lastly I would consider burning that bloody red shirt... but guess who had to shell out the cash to pay for the blasted thing.

Everton09
Cheers Twintown - you're not the only Twins/Toffees fan from the cities here (although I just started posting with the buildup to today's match pushing me over the edge). Anyway, great to have a fellow Minnesotan.
Sibdane
It's nice to see other Americans on the site. Welcome to the nicest Toffee site! I'm from deep-south Mississippi myself. Hope the weather is treating you right in MN!
Twintown Toffee
Support for the Toffees is certainly far reaching, I know several Everton fans here in the twin cities. I wonder how many Twins fans there are in Liverpool?

Twintown Toffee
I'm very keen on twins . Though perhaps I misunderstand . The "Minnesota Twins" and the Toffees have some similar traits, over achievers with limited budgets for example. But man it was a tough weekend to be a fan, the Twins were swept at home by the Rangers and we all know what happened at Wembley. Still a loyal fan though through thick and thin. Dalziel Kane
Another American here, but from Maryland not Minnesota Any neutrals looking on with regards to the author would think we had a new member from Swansea or something. Hope you enjoy your stay and all
