Dalziel Kane
'Starrier football clubs', what's that ?. There's no such thing. Looks like Pienaar and Fellaini are getting ready for a game of leapfrog also ? There's an awful lot to read there, but cutting it down into bite sized chunks, Yes Smith simply didn't work out, but a lot of people at the time thought he could come down and do a job such was his frequent success at Glasgow Rangers and regular honors, but what goes on up there and the caliber of teams involved and everyday business is chalk and cheese from what ocurs in the EPL. I did think at first, with the appointment after Kendall, 'quietly confident here, this could be interesting', but apart from one or two runs in the FA cup, and having some interesting players and acquisitions, it was a very forgettable period in club history. Moyes comes over, one Scot out and another in, but it's simply going over old territory isn't it. All aware of his achievements on limited funds and without the money to spend like other illustrious names, and he has made some excellent signings, (amid some less than memorable) that have come in, and regularly surprised neutrals in keeping the club in pursuit of european soccer for the most part, but as before, and not everyone likes to address it or even bury their head in the sand, but where's a trophy after over 10 years of his tenure ? We've been through it so many times, 'Moyes has done well, Moyes has made us recognized, Moyes ensures stability' etc, and I applaud him for that, but soccer is a results business, and while it's still a little premature to tell, this years european objective still remains unclear and the cold hard truth is, it's now 11 years with Moyes without anything won. We go through this all the time and you feel the record's stuck, but so long as Moyes is manager of this club, it has to be addressed. Good manager, OK. Done well OK. Made us noticed again after the previous shit from Smith and Walker OK, but for all that, there will always be the other side of it. Say again, he's a decent enough individual, but for the good of the club and if we are to stand a chance of winning something (finally) again then the Scot will have to move on. I still insist that Manchester United won't take him when Ferguson leaves, or at least, a majority of their supporters. Moyes tentative approaches and negativity at Old Trafford ? Yes sure they'll jump at the chance. Overseas looks likely once again, but I said before (as an ex-player) Celtic FC looks a decent bet, but it's still all a little too early to know what will occur. Bailey
I laughed 'Moyes has no particular ideology of how to play football. Arsène Wenger of Arsenal, say, has always striven for a fast-passing attacking game. Moyes, by contrast, tailors Everton’s style to each new opponent.' I was thinking the same tbh.
