Matt Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 10:34 The latest news on Everton comes courtesy of Alan Irwin, who tellsSky Sports News that Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic has emerged as a possible target Quote
Kant Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 PLEASE. DO. IT. (I somehow feel he is out of reach financially, but we can dream). Stones and Nastasic would be an excellent CB couple for the next 5 years. You don't get young CBs PL ready easily, and we know this one can be good. Matt and StevO 2 Quote
Matt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Report Posted September 1, 2014 All very well and good if we got him, but the issue of dropping Jags and Distin would still be there... Quote

Drop Jags ahead of Distin. Since the WC he has lost all pace. He looks shakey now for some reason. Distin is more reliable in defence. Quote

Matt Posted September 1, 2014 Author Report Posted September 1, 2014 SSN now saying he definitely won't be leaving. Knew there was no point in opening a thread Quote
Kant Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 Well, Alcaraz is still the 4th choice CB again. Jags, Distin, Stones, Alcaraz. I'm still scared. If there are funds available (which we don't know), it's the moment to try to snap a young CB to partner Stones in the future. Quote

Newty82 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 Oh bollocks. Would have loved this one. He was amazing when he first burst onto the scene 2 seasons ago. A fresh start would be good for him. Quote
Newty82 Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 SSN saying he could still leave...but the thought is that he wants to stay and fight for a place. Going to be interesting this one. Quote

I think we should have snapped up Dier under Spurs noses. 4 million could be a bargain. Looked strong in defence against Liverpool yesterday. (I know they conceded 3 and could have been more but was one of their better players). Anyway back on topic - I would love us to go for Nastasic on loan for the season with a view to buy. Would be a great addition to the squad. Coleman, him, Distin and Baines would be a quality. Plus Jags could mentor him as well. Can't see it happening though to be honest. Would be surprised if we pull this one off. Saying that who would have thought we could sign Lukaku and Eto'o. Matt and Kant 2 Quote
