Ten Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 The hibbert contract was sentiment, nothing more. Roberto seems to have no plans to use him. Yedlin would have been a great like for like understudy to Coleman, ideal for keeping tactics similar when changing personnel. chicagoblue, Matt and nutmegwolf203 3 Quote

gethinO Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Agree. We haven't got a RB cover as Martinez plays Stones ahead of Hibbert which tells a lot. The contract baffles me. I understand not releasing him out of respect and the servant he's been to us, but give him a player coach contract where he coaches our U21s instead of a 2 year playing deal. Quote
Guest blueboy122 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Agree with Romey. A club of our stature and what we have achieved of recent to be taking players on trial in a situation like this is pathetic. Quote
Guest blueboy122 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 There must be a youngster that we can play or why not play Hibbert in fact he is a solid defender. Quote
BlueBlood81 Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Tyrone Mears!? Fuckin hell! Quote
chicagoblue Posted September 22, 2014 Report Posted September 22, 2014 Is Browning out on loan? Quote

Yedlin would have been a great like for like understudy to Coleman, ideal for keeping tactics similar when changing personnel. In theory Yedlin would have been a good addition, but the price Tottenham paid was overkill. Even most US pundits thought he was worth about 1.75-2 pounds. Hibbert is good as coach for the young guys as well as an "oh shit two guys are hurt and we need someone to step in" emergency situation. We need better. Quote
