Hafnia
In your opinion who is the best player to have played for EFC and LFC? I think Peter Beardsley. Him or sheedy.... not sure if sheedy made a debut for the shite.
rubecula
Sheedy started his career with Hereford United, followed by a short spell with Liverpool, but played just three competitive games in four years and was sold to Everton for £100,000 in 1982.[1] At Everton he made 357 appearances (12 as substitute) and scored 97 goals. Incidentally he has also has a football league cup winning medal .... something that Everton themselves have not yet achieved. Bill
For the pleasure he gave me watching him it would be Alex Young for me, a beautiful footballer who was at the very top of his profession. Always looked supremely comfortable with the ball at his feet, it looked so easy for him when beating players, he would just seem to run straight through them, hence the nickname "The golden gost" For the player who was so important to the team it would be Alan Ball. Bill Shankly once said of him "he was only eight stone soaking wet and half of that must be his heart". A player who had everything, tackled like a terrier, scored plenty of goals, and covered every blade of grass on the pitch. God knows what he would be worth today. If Ross Barkley is reading this ... You have a little, only a little of what the first player had, but you have nothing at all of what the second player had. Edit,.. sorry, thought it was the best for EFC. Not both.
