We're winning ugly which is a hell of a lot better than the diet of failing to win ugly last year. Above Manure now with plenty of room to improve. I kinda like the fact that Silva has decided what his first XI is, and what his bench is for matter, and is sticking to it. He has that luxury as results are good. But I still don't think he's got it quite right in the attacking positions and unless a couple of players step up he'll have to change it eventually.

I'll take an ugly win next week.

few things I took from that game:

we can win ugly if need be. wasn't the best game I've ever seen but a win non the less.

Gomes is unbelievable, easily the best central midfielder we've had in a long time.

Davies, Baines and Zouma having sprint races on the side line near the final whistle was brilliant, good to see the lads who didn't come on still going about with a smile on their face.

Richarlison needs to grow up asap, I love the lad but that play acting at the end was nobheadish. The keeper tapped him on the head like a little pat to say "oh you nearly got me then", a nothing gesture. Richarlison then starts rolling round pretending he has been smacked hard, been spending too much time with Neymar I think.

Agreed, but you've got to feel sorry for him as there was more contact in that incident when he got himself sent off early in the season!

This league is full of that bull-shittery.
