Zed
HOWARD LESCOTT YOBO ARETA CAHILL AJ Now, the old adage is to get a good spine to your team I think that is a pretty good spine Edited December 2, 2006 by Zed
thebluenose
so any realistic ideas to add to that team. i think baines might be good at left back
Romey 1878
Baines would be a quality left back for us, but if he was ever leaving Wigan you can guarantee Spurs would be after him which could make it difficult for us. Id also add Ashley Young and David Nugent. They are definitely good players to accompany that spine.
thebluenose
agreed with nugent. but havent seen much of ashley young. left mid right? how old, strenghts, weaknesses?
Romey 1878
He can play on the left or right, predominantly a left winger I think. He's in his early 20s. Has bags of pace and skill, got a cracking cross and can score goals. Not sure about weaknesses.
Bill
Plenty we could add to that to improve the Team. As well as those already mentioned heres a few i wouldnt mind looking at........................... Matty Taylor..........Portsmouth Left back, can also play left Midfield. Gary McSheffrey....Birmingham Left winger/midfield. Wayne Routledge...Spurs Right winger/midfield. Freddie Eastwood...Southend Striker. Gareth Bale...........Southampton midfield/striker. Victor Annichebe....Everton Striker, who didnt cost £6m.
Romey 1878
Isnt Gareth Bale a left back?
Guest fozzie
If we can get shut of BT its time for DM to do what he does best............go shopping in the lower leagues..the team as a whole needs strenghening
adamsmith69
Yes gareth bale is a left back, but arsenal are interested so we have no chance
StevO
id throw hibbert baines young nugent and barton or sidwell into that team and i think most teams would get a run for their money

thebluenose
rumour has it that osman is a red. but i dont care. he does his job and puts the effort in for the blues. i dont mind nolan. but i dont like barton
StevO
osman doing his job is questionable as of late
Romey 1878
Does it really matter who they support? You play for the club that pays your wages, supporting whatever team doesnt come into it
