collinsnator
After the negative worst signing thought I would start a more positive forum the best signing!! For me they have mostly been Moyes signings as we hardly set the world alight pre Moyes did we in the Premier era! Honourable mentions go to Martyn, Howard, Weir, Stubbs, Neville, Cahill, Limpar, Barmby (Ok that did go turkey but we relaunched that man!), Yobo, Lescott, Johnson and I am sure that I have missed one or two. But the number one in terms of price, excitement and improved value it just has to be two times player of the year Mikel Arteta.

J*A*C*K*E*L*Z
tim cahill & mikel arteta both about 2 million each and for the price they our worth now and the things they have brought to the team it would have to be them too more so arteta 2 million thats up there with not just us but any signing any club has made
andyhouse
Ferguson, Gascoigne, Gough were all inspired signings.

Romey 1878
I wouldnt have thought you could class Rooney as a signing. And Gravesen only had 6 months of decent football when he was with us, how does that make him one of our best signings? bluesareus
Alan Ball, Howard Kendall, Dixie Dean, Tommy Lawton,Nev Southall,Joe Mercer,Alex Young, I could go on and on with players from the 30s 40s 50s 60s 80s all better than the present lot. Pat
500k for 5/6 seasons & captain the club. David Weir was a great business deal in regards to outlay & return.
Droobie
David Moyes
Everton_Worshiper
Would have to be between Kanchelskis (loved watching him play) or Vaughan. Vaughan is very underrated but think he is going to have an awesome season this year....fingers crossed he stays free of injuries.
KillaGTiR
Arteta costed us beans 1.7m thats fu*k all then clubs are paying 5.5 for the likes of Jason Koumas... what a joke that is
EFCfanatic
Arteta class. But KC for me. Wouldn't be in this league without him!
Mac
Kevin Sheedy, Bob Latchford and at a pinch Gary Linaker. ATB Mac
RuffRob
In no particular order Macus Bent - Bought for £450K, played lone striker for most of the year, we finished 4th. Then 18 months later we sold him for £2.3M. Kevin Campbell - Probabley the best signing in the club has EVER made if you considering the impact his goals had when he first joined the club. Priceless David Weir - performance after performance, year after year was practically free. Arteta - What value for money - The Jewel in our crown at this moment in time. Kanchelskis - Came for big money, played well, sold for more money
aaron
Has to be Kevin Campbell although Arteta runs him close.
Philinsuffolk
Weir for me. In time it may prove to be Lescott. Ignore me, I'm from the school of can never have enough solid centre backs!
