pmc7efc
With the loan signing of manny now in the bag, david moyes will move 2 strengthen his midfield with the outstanding prospect of lassana diarra, who can nt just defend well for a midfielder can pass and cross the ball superbly, he is strong in the tackle and has wonderful technique. Capped by france a few times this season but cnt break in 2 wengers side. multiple newspapers link him with us. Justin Hoyte is also linked with us by the papers earlier on inthe season and is an up and coming right back, has more class thn hibbo, many u-21 caps for england great at going forward aswell. I'd be very happy with these two signings as well, can't see them happening now though unless on loan with option to buy. I don't think we'd be able to afford to buy 2 players and pay Fernandes wages - althoughhhhhhhhhhh.......... McFadden will probably be on his way so that'll raise some money. Sell AJ, buy all 3 and get another striker

carlmc25
Apparently it's dead set that Faddy will sign for Celtic if it's Celtic then I'd expect at least a £4-5m fee. Be sort of sorry to see the guy go but it's for the best, pity about the timing though with African Nations!

Blue4Ever
If we could get Diarra our midfield would be sensational --------------------Cahill------------------ Pienaar---Fernandes---Diarra----Arteta A loan with an option to sign would be great business but i doubt another centermid will be coming with manny

jamiemaher85
Would you pay the 6m asking price of diarra though? I would love them both here but can't see anymore signings or sellings in january
FairWooney
i'll take a pick n mix of 5 of them to strengthen the squad. Eduardo might make the bench when one our youngsters is injured!
savage9640
i wud pay diarra 6million you have to look at wot else u can get for that kind of money and answer is jack all would be great midfield if cud get him aswell as manny
Blue4Ever
I would pay 6 million for Diarra him and manny in the middle would solve our midifeld problems
jacko 1990
Justin Hoyte is not being sold. Diarra would be a Great Buy for 6 Mill. B'gham are rumoured to be upping their bid For Faddy to 4 million.
Everton_Worshiper
Sell AJ, buy all 3 and get another striker Erm I actually agree with this....would not shed a tear if we sold AJ, just not cutting it IMO.
savage9640
birmingham are spose to be upping there bid to 5.5 so that would get us diarra manny on loan and hotye wudnt be very expensive or get on loan no need to sell aj he is clas player wudnt dream of selling him
jacko 1990
Hoyte would be expensive!!! Tottenham have already had a reasonable Bid Rejected(cant remember what it was) and His is a Great prospect for Arsenal(as all their players are ) and England. And Alex McLeish is upping his bid to 4 million, as Birmingham are only wiling to give him that much. No manager Doubles their bid for a player Savo. jofanon
We had £11m in the pot for Fernandes/Gonazalez last year £4m for McFadden Leaves us with £15 and we must be able to afford £10m from next years budget in the summer. So in the summer.. Pienaar £2.5m Fernandes £11m Diarra now £6m! Leaves us 6 or 7 mil to play with. Not sure what we need after that to be honest (nothing urgent springs to mind). jacko 1990
Would be a Poor Deal on our Behalf if Manny Cost us 11 million, Valencia Want rid, Arrested, Not Match fit. Diarra will be snatched up in the Window IMO, and i dont Think Moyes will nove for him.
Romey 1878
We've also been linked with Arsenal's Frimpong. He's rated very highly and is in the mould of Vieira
jacko 1990
Ponce of a name. What sort of song could we come up with him, duh duh duh Frimpong cant play Pingpong.(conga tune) Dont even ask how i came up with that, and yes i know it aint related to footy. CraccerC
diarra would not replace carsley in our midfield for me. he would take over, but cars should be one of the first on the sheet
jamiemaher85
I agree, diarra would be a good one for the future but Cars is still doing it at the ripe old age of 72. Diarra would give us great options but don't think he will walk into the first team just yet. Give him 1 or 2 years and i'm sure he will, but not just yet. Also Jacko, never make another song up again. ever.
StevO
We had £11m in the pot for Fernandes/Gonazalez last year did we? coz the word came out we only had the money for yak or manny, not both
jamiemaher85
I thought we had money for both, but i might be wrong. We should have the money to get him this summer though.
StevO
the loan we got was for about £13m i beleive, only enough for one or the other. but when we get the TV money in the summer i think we should be able to afford him, and maybe a lefty to go in there too, but for now im happy getting him in on loan

But as you say we should have the money to sign him up in summer. especially with extra tv revenue and the extra income from europe
StevO
i think we need to be hitting the semis of the uefa before its worth any money, its pitence compared with the champions league, or even the prem
Ynox
Diarra wanted 90k a week to play in Newcastle. I really dont think Everton would or should pay this much to have him. http://www.tribalfootball.com/article.php?id=73364
