Chelsea fan Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Great game[ 1st leg ] if your me , but thought we just about deserved the win . Think you have a great manager in Moyles and think , in fact hope you win the final if you beat us . You have a lot of quality at Everton and holding onto top players should be a priority , and your manager. Met a group of lads after the game , Everton fans , boy did we have a laugh , they knew their football and totally passionate about Everton. Roll on the next leg , lets hope we out sing you this time . Great website by the way. Quote
Bill Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Think its a bit early for this to be up, couple of other games yet. Quote

You Outsing us, dont be silly Cheers for you r praise of our team, shame yours will fall apart when Drogba leaves Good Luck in the next leg, but im pretty sure you will be happy with getting to the Semi's, with us going to the Final Quote
MikeO Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 The bad news is that Anelka didn't play for Notlob in the Carling so isn't cup-tied . Could have done without that. Quote
jamiemaher85 Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Damn. But don't you have to register players for games before hand, would you be able to register new players between ties? Just a thought. Obviously that would mean no manny as well, but on the whole i would definatley prefer not to be playing against le sulk Quote
MikeO Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Damn. But don't you have to register players for games before hand, would you be able to register new players between ties? Quick, someone get onto JD to check the regulations . What time is it in DC? Quote

Chelsea fan Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 Cant see Anelka scoring as many goals as Drogba , but he's welcome to stay , christ , Pizzaro is a disaster. Not sure if he's eligible for the 2nd leg . Thanks for beating City today , looks like your getting your title of the best team on merseyside back . Quote
zequist Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I just looked through the Carling Cup regs, and I didn't see anything that said you can't change your eligible roster between 1st and 2nd legs. Actually I didn't see anything at all about submitting rosters in advance, like we do for Europe. All it said was that if a player is legally owned and registered by his team and hasn't played in the CC for anyone else that year, the team's free to use him. I did see something that said loaner players cannot be used for the CC unless the owning club gives permission in writing for them to play, so hopefully we got that from Valencia. That would suck if Anelka could play and Manny couldn't! Quote

LexKing Posted January 15, 2008 Report Posted January 15, 2008 I dont think no1 have to register players in cc and if anelka werent playing with bolton in this competition he should get play , i think , not sure but imo Quote
jacko 1990 Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Anelka can play, and so can manny, Manny has never played in the CC for anyone else and As Romey said i think the LEtter about Manny playing in the CC only counts if he is on loan from a team that can play in the CC which VAlencia can't play in, and Anelka never played in the CC so he can play for chelsea. xsaint Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 The title suppose to be EVERTON FC Vs Chelsea or is it Chelsea Vs EVERTON FC ? <_< Quote
jacko 1990 Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 should be Everton Vs Chelsea, but the topic starter was a Chelsea fan and we know how Dim they are so we will let him off Quote

Blue4Ever Posted January 16, 2008 Report Posted January 16, 2008 Anelka. ? Could be, If I was them id go in for Aguero, he is bound to be one of the best strikers in the world from how good he is already. Drogba is class but there will be a replacement out there, im not payed to make that decision tho Quote
Calico Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 I don't think they're gonna go for another so-called superstar. Anelka with Kalou and Sheva in support, plus another younger player who is good but not a superstar will probably do it. Not sure if they will pay as much as would be needed for Kun tbh Blue. I think Daniel Alves will be their biggest signing in the summer, to replace SWP. Quote
jacko 1990 Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 Anelka is not on the same level as Drogba, hes quick Strong and can find the back of the net. Aguero is looking good, but in a 4-5-1 Aguero cant play a lone striker, not got the Strength. Theirs only 1 other player like Drogba, and thats Rooney. he aint getting sold. SWP wont be replaced, hes on fire atm for them, ALVES is a RB naturally. Is any1 goin to this game???? Quote
Calico Posted January 17, 2008 Report Posted January 17, 2008 You can really see Alves getting played at RB when Miguel and Beletti will be there? Also, having watch Alves play for a few years now it is easy to see where he would have trouble in the Premier League; he dives too much, doesn't seem to be interesting in tackling and has a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He is the perfect winger, really. I mean, that is where he came on in the final of the Copa. Whereas SWP, yeah I agree he is on fire at the moment... but even since he has been playing every game he is still a "hot & cold" player with his form, an that's with years of experience in the Premier League. Um... Anelka has been scoring goals for fun, is quicker than Drogba and all the while doing that in teams where he has received less support than he will at Chelsea. Also, he was playing in a 4-5-1 at Bolton whereas Chelsea play 4-3-3. As for Aguero... how about as one of the supporting forwards rather than out-and-out. That would make more sense since he actually isn't an out-and-out forward. I don't know about you, but if Chelsea played us with Anelka and Aguero in the front three then I'd be ... well, needing a new pair of underwear. Quote

I think Alves is suited to the wing more myself, I think Aguero would be a bit hit in the premiership, his style of play really suits the league. Quote
MikeO Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 SWP taken off injured after half an hour today. Apparently only a "precaution" but you never know your luck, we could do with him being out. He's hit and miss but always seems to turn it on against us. Quote
Romey 1878 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 It was an ankle injury so hopefully even if he does play he'll be a bit off the pace Quote
Calico Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Yeah, here is hoping. But I want the lad to play for Capello. Anyone see what the Italian did for Robinho last season? Quote
The_Boxing_Aussie Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Yeah, here is hoping. But I want the lad to play for Capello. Anyone see what the Italian did for Robinho last season? It is claear that Capello is the best in the world and he can make a lot with young and prospective players like Robinho and SWp,but i hope SWP won't play against us. Quote
Ian Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Didnt book my season ticket seat early enough so I'm in the paddock I would sit on the roof though for this one. 1-0 Everton with every fan in the ground shitting themselves from the moment we score til the final whistle. COME ON YOU BLUES Quote
Romey 1878 Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 Heart says we'll win 1-0 and just hold out through extra time. Head says they'll beat us 2-0 . Come on heart. Quote
