you have ever had the privaledge to watch! It has to be a player from your own era though, someone you have spent countless weeks at home and away watching, and wondering how is he an everton player... I havnt given my choice a long thought but for now, im going to say brett angell haha

Did he not score on his debut against swindon 6-2

Still shit though 7 feet of pure non talent and 1 goal in 2 seasons

Lol you might as well have opened and closed this topic with your own post because it doesnt get any worse than Brett Angel.

TThere have been many disasterous signings such as Mike Milligan, Geoff Nulty, Glen Keeley, Mikel Madar, Cluas Thompsen but nnone can get anywhere near the level of ineptitude as Brett Angel

Milligan was a decent player I thought, though Thompsen and Linderoth come to think of it were also duff.

I'd definitely go for Brett Angell.

I remember the Echo headlines 'Angell of Mersey', and thinking a few weeks in how I wished the Angel of Mercy would cart him off to somewhere.

Alex Nayarko or however u spell it! he has to be the worst i have seen.

i cant believe some people are slagging brett angel off! the one game i saw him in (the everton 6-2 win over swindon) he hit the cross bar from 6 yards out (open goal, diving header) to set up Beagrie!!!!! cant remember mitch ward scoring though, i know cottee got a hatrick and it was mike walkers first game in charge (i was on match of the day that night!)

madar wasnt to bad, nor was alexaderson!

the player who was the biggest let down for me was Mark pembridge. he used to bang them in from 40 yards for fun for Sheff wed, and hardly had a shot for us!

Surely everyone has made an Everton worst XI out of players that we have seen rather than simply having a best XI. Hard to name just one terrible player but my worst XI woould probably be:

Baardsen

Earl Barrett, Carl Tiler, Per Kroldrup, Mark Hottiger

Claus Thompson, Mitch Ward, Gareth Farrelly, Scott Gemill

John Spencer, Mikel Madar

Subs: Paul Gerrard, Mark Hughes, Stewart Barlow, Alex Nyarko, Eddy Bosnar (never saw him play but thought he deserved a mention)

Now if this was our team we would be challenging the top 4 this season!

i understood and took your opinion, what i said was more aimed at captainferguson i think it was...your case is maybe understandable although i still think we've seen worse in the last few years.

stephen hughes is one that deserves a mention

alexanderson wasn't THAT bad, just didn't play well often enough but when he did he looked decent.

Carl Tyler was ok! as was the mighty stewart barlow! i will give you the rest i guess lol

Stewart Barlow was terrible, and Gareth Farrelly was terrible too. Seriously the morning of that last match against Coventry I thought we were going down as Farrelly had played awful in every other game. 'That goal' was the only thing he ever did for us. The only one I questioned in my lineup was Madar, to be fair his scoring record wasn't bad admittedly he wasn't a good player but as a striker you judge them on goals. I think part of everyone's dislike of Madar comes from him being French and having stupid hair. I was considering swapping him with Tommy Johnson (even though he was only a loan)

In terms of 'contributions' to the Everton cause on the pitch it has got to be Keeley. Kroldrup deserves his place at CB alongside him.
