Ian
Another home tie, can't be a bad thing. Thing is we are going to come up against a good team at some stage in the tourni, why not now? We beat them last season at home so we can do it again. NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM Come on you blues
fcssl
It probably sounds bizarre, but I am happier playing a top premiership side than a lower league side. Everton tend to rise to games and I fancy our current form against Arsenal, but the next game will be an indication I guess.... anyway, copied from my own website, here are the other fixtures... Carling Cup 2006 LATEST Draw Wednesday 25th October 2006 All fixtures to be played week commencing Monday 6th November 2006 Everton v Arsenal Notts County v Wycombe Wanderers Tottenham Hotspur v Port Vale Birmingham City v Liverpool Chelsea v Aston Villa Watford v Newcastle United Chesterfield v Charlton Southend United v Manchester United Edited October 25, 2006 by www.fc-ssl.com

Romey 1878
I didnt even know the draw had been made, I thought it was going to be on Saturday. Ive got a feeling they wont put out a shit team against us though, could be a tough one
Bill
Yeah, its about this round that clubs start thinking "hey we can win this" so unless they have a Euro game a couple of days either side, i dont envisage reserve teams or youth teams playing. Think it will still be a tough one so lets hope we can hit top form.
Adam
Didn't we go out to an understrengh Arsenal side a couple of seasons ago to a team that had an average age of about 19. Could have been better and could have been worse
Rob W
sounds like a potential embarrassing banana skin to me, would rather have had watford, newcastle, villa at home than arsenal reserves. they are a unknown quantity and look v v good but we will be expected to win and that might go against us. cant ask more than a home tie i guess, hopefully we wont give them a chance to prove themselves. Adams
1st November (Wed) Champions League - CSKA Moscow (home) 5th November (Sun) Barclays Premiership - West Ham United (away) 7/8th November (Tue/wed)* Carling Cup - Everton (away) (*This game will be played on either 7th or 8th November) 12th November (Sun) Barclays Premiership - Liverpool (home) ^^^There the fixtures Arsenal have^^^ 4 games in 12 days, 2 big games as well (CSKA moscow and Liverpool) Cant see them putting out a full side when they have liverpool next game, also it would be perfect to rest some players after just playin CSKA and West Ham. Randomness
the point is once again the carling cup has handed us an impossible 4th round tie AGAIN!
Romey 1878
Its nowhere near impossible, we've beat them before and we can do it again if we hit top form,
Mac
Nice post from Adam, good point from Mark. This is well do-able, we are a better side than we were last year. ATB Mac
Zed
Didn't we go out to an understrengh Arsenal side a couple of seasons ago to a team that had an average age of about 19. Could have been better and could have been worse Yes we did, it was 3-1, the same season they beat us 7 -1 as well the point is once again the carling cup has handed us an impossible 4th round tie AGAIN! We dont normally get to the forth round, as mac said, nothing is impossible. Well play their reserves anyway We should win it Prices are £20 adults, £10 kids, chuffed they've kept the lower prices
thebluenose
might try and go to this one. if it wernt for the fucking trains i would have been able to go to the luton game. this one wont foil me this time.

Was surrounded by a thousand little ninjas on Tuesday screaming abuse at the Luton fans!! You couldn't leave yer seat for a piss without one of them trying to claim it! MikeO
Yes we did, it was 3-1, the same season they beat us 7 -1 as well Hate (honestly) to correct you Zed but it was 7-0 at Highbury...4-1 at Goodison on the first day of the season, the reason we finished with a negative goal difference . Don't think there's much doubt though that even though we finished fourth that season the current team is potentially far superior. £20 and £10 eh? I feel some wife buttering-up coming on .
