Not great reading for Sigurdsson!
I don't think he's played that many games as the number 10 behind the striker. Playing out wide would have certainly damaged his stats. He needs a consistent run of games in his correct position and needs to get used to the other players movements around him. He really needs to step up now, justify his price tag and prove his critics wrong.

Interesting that Sky aren't pushing this story. He's clearly got hangover style pictures of Sky presenters/executives (Jim White) in compromising situations.

He always seem to be a real threat when he plays and the fans appreciate his intent. He is the type of player that can win a game with his skill and ability to beat a man.
It's seem strange that DLC and Sandro both made the bench and yet both didn't do anything particular good in pre-season to warrant selection.
Maybe he's just not doing it in training?

Marco on leaving Lookman out. Based on his reasoning, I would think he may now go out on loan.
I know he's not come out and said, but I get the feeling he does not want to play for us. Clearly there is an issue with the lad and it might be better for all parties if we let him go. Would be a shame, but no player is bigger than club.

Pretty sure if we were told the amount of time we'd have to play with 10 men, we would have been very happy with 2-2.

Regardless of the result, what a difference and what an all round good performance. Considering the amount of time the team have been down to 10 men, they have done us proud today. (minus the couple of mistakes.)

What an absolute shambles. Can't believe he had the nerve to even get up for that award. This was a fans vote which has truly embarrassed them to the world and shown how sad, bitter, obsessed and pathetic their fans really are with us.
