  1. Seen this picture circulating not entirely sure its him but it sure looks like!
  2. Did he save the Pen? Yes... So does it matter really? No...
  3. I sit close to the middle on Davies probably lean more to the not good enough side... I think the majority of people who like him give him far too much credit but on the other hand i think the majority of people who don't like him give him far too much stick... I look at it as if we had signed him from another side he would have probably been firmly benched now, it may be due to his age or some other circumstances but he is NOT ready for regular first team football, he always wants to do something positive but right now his decision making and all round quality is not up to scratch he constantly runs himself into trouble and picks some ridiculous passes to make, going off Saturday alone he passed people into a cul-de-sac on numerous occasions resulting in loss of possession, when Gylfi went off especially the ball rarely traveled forwards as both Davies and Morgan are far to happy to pass the ball sideways and backwards... All in all we do need better quality in the middle and i'm hoping some of the injured signings can bring that, McCarthy would be perfect as well but his injuries have just stopped him reaching his potential...
  4. For me I don't see any reason why a keeper needs resting throughout the season so Pickford should defiantly stay in the net for me... As far as Lookman is concerned I'd rather him be nowhere near the squad... He has an attitude problem and if he isn'tt sold this window could become the new Mirallas and by that I mean causing unrest in the dressing room, Who would I put there in his place? I don't have a clue to be perfectly honest maybe DCL although i fully understand this is not ideal (Square pegs in round holes)... Wouldn't mind giving Tosun a rest as the lad has been ran ragged recently and could probably do with it until the weekend... saying that it would be a good chance to get him his firstt goal of the campaign and Lord knows he needs it to get some folk off his back (Me not being one of them as i believe his all round play is fantastic)... Other than that I agree with the rest of your team, sincerely hope Bernard and Digne get a good run out as I'm looking forward to seeing them play and Bernard will probably be in the first team come the weekend with Richarlison out, would be a great game for him to find his feet!
  5. Can't wait for the end of this whole Transfer Saga... I personally hope he is gone by the end of it because the fee we are being offered is ridiculously high for an unproven player with an awful attitude... Lets face it if we can recover 80% of Richarlison's fee for a player who (lets get this straight) has done nothing in this league and has't been a first team player under 4 managers now we are having RB's pants down... He has potential but he is another player who for me will never meet it because his attitude is dire. Is he better than what we've got? No... Is he willing to put the work in? No... Is he worth 25-30m? No...
  6. Immature actions on the weekend, Thankfully he will only be missing 2 Matches for us because realistically he was being rested tomorrow... The lad has really quality and I can't wait to see him back in the team hopefully with Bernard fully integrated too! It's a learning curve and I don't expect to see that from him again... Have fun in the Brazilian Squad!!!
  7. Either way surely its advantageous for us, Richarlison's ban will only be for 2 Prem games and Jagielka's ban will end after Tomorrows game... I can't say I'm dissatisfied !
  8. Cheers Bill Relatively new to the site but will be becoming an active member! Look forward to our future discussions always good to hear everyone's perspective in a blue environment!
  9. I actually think City can be stopped you just need to have the courage to attack them... Hate to talk about the other side of the park but they have showed everyone the blueprint of how to play against them. Also if you think back to a couple seasons ago when we mauled them it was due to us just going for them, they don't like it... Another example Man United in the second half last season they can't deal with a team who push them back and ask them questions and I think that plays more into our hands this season more than ever... As far as Liverpool they are the opposite they can't play through a team so rely on them attacking so that they can exploit the counter... now that will be a really tough game :') should be entertaining though!
  10. I am not doing cartwheels about the results, I agree it is too early to gauge how we will do this season... I never expected a massive season due to all of the changes in and around the club, I wanted to see a change in the style of football we play and a change in mentality both in the dressing room and among the fans, and what from I've seen so far this season it is evident that there has been a massive shift in the club... I personally put this down to Brands, This guy knows what he is doing and even if the Silva era fails I have faith that Brands will find a suitable replacement, we finally have a hierarchy with someone with a real footballing brain at the top of it... This is the time for the club to move forward and I think that we as fans have a massive part to play by getting on board and supporting this project which is finally starting to bare some fruit!
  11. I don't think anyone is suggesting to ignore the results Bill, but if you look at our performances in the last 2 games you surely must agree that we are leaps and bounds ahead of where we were at any point last season? The football that we are playing is great... The work rate from everyone in the side is massive... and this whole new positive attitude is getting the fans behind the team! Everything is pulling in the same direction for the first time in years, and as fans we all have a right to get behind this movement and ride the wave hopefully to compete at the top end of the Prem.
  12. At the end of the day we are 2 games into the season... And it has been a great start and we look really positive as a team! I don't get this whole don't make me laugh point of view, who is anyone to say we haven't got it in us to finish in the top 6 or top 4... Yes it is optimistic, yes it is a really big gap to leap, but why not? Did Leicester think they would win the league in 2016? NO... The team pulled together and kept a positive team spirit and fought every game for each other! Football is a game of Dreams and why shouldn't we Dream of the Champions League? Why Laugh at the lad who is putting everything he has into bringing the fans together and leaving everything he has on the pitch? If we had a team full of players with the same attitude and ambition as Richarlison and Coleman we would be a huge threat and I think the influence that players like these have on a dressing room is vitally important to us pulling together and breaking into that 'Untouchable 6' and changing the outside perception of our Club! Anything can happen over the course of the season... Teams can Outperform expectation and people can fall massively short... So lets get behind our lads and support them to fulfil there ambitions so they can fulfill our dreams of being a powerful force in the Top Tier of Football once again!
  13. Don't think we will be seeing any of the new boys in this game... Personally I think they will get a run out for the League Cup! If we get the same starting line up as last week but with Davies in instead of Schnieds i'll be happy with that. Davies had a decent game on the weekend and I wouldn't say that lightly because I am one of the people who doesn't think hes ready for first team football, but if he can put in a Shift like Saturday I don't mind him getting a run of games until a better option is available!
  14. With Holgate being injured I can definitely see Mina coming in alongside Keane, He may not have had much of a Pre-Season but he's only had 3 weeks off due to the World Cup... Really can't wait to see him in the kit a BIG, Mean and Dominant Center back somthing we haven't had for a while... Has a decent goal-scoring record as well for a CB... P.S has anyone else not got there season tickets yet? Getting a little worried here :')...
  15. I like the look of Lookman... but if he wants to leave and we can make abit of money on him then I'd wish him the best of luck and let him go, there must be a reason why he hasn't been near the team for our last 3 managers now, and when he's been given opportunity he hasn't done enough to force the mangers hand he's been very hit and miss... For me he's not going to beat Richarlison or Walcott to the first team spot but he would be a good back up just seems that he wants more than that!
