Matt, Fellaini created 1 less goal scoring opportunities (7) than Payet did in his MOTM performance for France (8). Second most in the tournament so far. Hugely underrated.

I'd agree that I sometimes roll my eyes when reading a post by Mirallas (I assume he's quite young) but I do think he's knowledgeable about football, and he adds a lot to this forum with his knowledge of other leagues.
 
The fact that you are "someone who loves Everton and has been watching us since 1984 who has no affinity to players just Everton", doesn't give you any football related credibility. In fact, every post you make in any Lukaku related thread lowers said credibility.

Second statement: I didn't suggest Preud'Homme, as well as... are you starting to believe Haf's nonsense about me concerning Belgians? The only correlation between me and Belgians is the fact that I know a whole many of them for obvious reasons, so my point of view will concern a whole lot more knowledge on Belgian stuff. It doesn't make me prejudiced or chauvenistic.
 
I think you guys often get confused about that. If you, as English guys, would root for Club Brugge and came to my home team's forums to get involved in the discussion, obviously your input will be tinted by your English context and knowledge of football players and managers. And I'd understand that too.

Well what you just listed there describes Frank De Boer. But EFC will also need tactics and formations that make sense.

De Boer did it with Ajax, which is easy. McClaren did it with Twente, now that's something totally different.
 
Edit: now that I mention Twente, McClaren did win the competition, and then left after that season. He was replaced by Michel Preud'homme, a trully gifted manager. However, when McClaren left, no less that 14 Twente players left as well, so Preud'homme has a really hard task ahead. Despite that, he still managed to finish second place behind Ajax and in front of PSV. More importantly: he won the league cup as well as the Johan Cruijff Shield. The man is easily twice the manager Frank De Boer is, but hands off this one, he is now in charge of my home town's team Club Bruges and if all goes well, we'll win the league title this sunday
