Heitinga is seriously playing shitty today. I was hoping he'd come in and make a good case for why he should be starting week in-week out, but he's misjudging and misplaying almost everything.
Oh, and thoward18, if you get this, the Swansea game is on ESPN2 at 7:30 tomorrow morning. And, if you need to catch Everton's (or almost any other major team in Europe's) games online, go to thefirstrow.eu
Pienaar. Set up 2 (1 official) goal(s) and was all over the place.
Although he did have a few massive fuck ups and misses. Perhaps I should have said Baines. Too late now.
I would love to see this. But, I don't see Moyes even putting Cisco in the squad. We'll get both Neville and Heitinga as our DMs today. Lots of hoofing. We'll nick a goal or two.
2-1; Jelavic and Pienaar
Speaking of Power Rangers... For years, it's been my assertion that they changed the white power ranger to green so quickly because he was the WHITE POWER ranger, and that's a little fucked.
We always seem to bring our best play to highly rated teams like this. Newcastle seems to be slightly overrated (which means we'll play them like they're Man City, while they're really more of a Fulham). And we saw what we did to them at the end of last season. I expect more of the same. I'm sure Moyes will have a solid game plan that we will execute.
2-0 Jela and Naismith
Voted for Osman, but, as is stated in the other thread, I thought he played like shit. He may have just been the least shitty. Edged out Hibbert by a hair today.
Osman really had a shitty game today, too. He seemed to be outmuscled on every ball.
Neville was by far the worst. Made the easy pass directly in front of him every time. Never tried to play the more dangerous ball. And (not that he could anyway) tried to make a run when he had an opportunity. Just a stationary peg out there.
Really was some of the worst officiating I've seen. No excuse for how unbelievably wasteful we were or how sloppy we were defensively. Didn't help that the ref didn't give free kicks when we should have had them and did give them when we were already 30 yards down the pitch. Not having Gibson in there, we really lose those incisive through balls that help us be so direct.
