  1. Mirallas had a great game. Coleman was amazing until the 90th minute, where he was completely at fault for that goal (lost possession, then failed to mark that ginger)
  2. Fellaini. No question, really. Also, that fucking volley! How it was saved, I have no idea.

    Fulham

So insanely depressing to end up with a point after that. Should have netted 5 times, at least. Fucking hell.
  4. What Avin said sounds like a good deal, and I might have to start a thread eventually to ask somebody to grab me something.... But, I've had a lot of luck on ebay.co.uk, and people have generally been pretty good about shipping. I've gotten some awesome shirts and only paid, in the end, about $20, shipping included. Let 'em know that you're a fellow Everton fan. People tend to help out their own kind.
  5. Please, please, please let Kev get on the pitch this Saturday.
  6. It's gotta be Naismith. I would've gone with Mirallas had he finished the game. But, Naismith came in, had some impressive incisive one-touches, and scored an amazing goal. He came out of nowhere on that. Great instincts. I want this Naismith to show up all the time. Coleman was definitely at fault on the one goal.
  7. GET IN, NAISY! YOU BEAUTIFUL FUCK!
  8. Naismith having some really impressive touches today.
  9. Mark Suarez, please. Just fucking mark him.
  10. This is fucking disgusting.
  11. I'm fine with Neville in midfield for a derby. It's the type of ugly game he's best suited for. What worries me more than anything is Coleman at rb. Can just see Suarez going down and getting that call. I'm afraid Coleman's just going to be abused all day long.
  12. Looks like Donovan was trying to speak to the ref over that homunculus having fouled his keeper. Nothing wrong/unsportsmanlike with that. Not like he was chewing him out or anything.
  13. Anyhow, who the fuck does Luke Rodgers think he is? Who even knows who Luke Rodgers is? Having a bit-part with NY Red Bulls for a season was the height of his career, and from what it looks like he's kind of a cunt-hole.
  14. I really don't see the prima donna attitude there... Oh well! Agree to disagree.
  15. I totally get your sentiment on Donovan, but I can't help but think you're totally wrong. I'm not sure of how many national team games you've been to, but if you watch both of them out there you'll see Donovan working 10 times harder than Dempsey to make things happen offensively and actually putting in work defensively, which Dempsey tends to forget. I think you're a little too caught up in the US fan discourse surrounding both of them, and aren't really looking at either very objectively.
  16. I understand this, mostly. I used to have maybe more than a slight dislike for Donovan, but in hindsight I think it was due to the non-stop, singular, attention he was given when it came to the USMNT. I couldn't stand him, because he was the media darling and the supposed savior of US Soccer. But, with the emergence of Dempsey as a larger figure, my dislike for him has waned, and I can really appreciate the guy. When he's been at Everton he's been nothing but a hard-working team player and a classy individual. Dempsey, however, I have grown to have an intense distaste for. He's quality, but he never seems to put in the work. He's also taken to diving, which, as an American, will always piss me off. The way he handled everything with Fulham has completely destroyed anything positive I felt for that guy. I love Timmy, Bradley, Cherundulo, Johnson, Williams, and Agudelo, among others, though. These guys always put in the work.
  17. So, maybe: Howard Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines Coleman Osman Fellaini Oviedo Mirallas Jelavic So two wingers who are, realistically, wing backs; no Neville; a creative, direct, but defensively responsible central midfield; Mirallas floating behind and playing off of Jelavic. I would, personally, get a boner over this. True story.
  18. Throwing this out there: What about Oviedo on the left wing for the derby? He would provide better defensive cover than anyone else we could throw out there, has tons of pace and could provide a good spark linking up with Baines.
  19. His contract runs 'til the end of 2013. So, if we were to get him any time this season, or before next, we would be paying.
  20. I don't know that he's lost his love. I think it has more or less been strangled out of him by the MLS essentially holding him prisoner. I don't think he cares about playing for the Galaxy anymore, and being forced to do so is really depressing him. He just sounds extremely depressed to me.
  21. Jags. No question, really. Other than Timmy and Distin, everyone else had either a shit or sub-par game

Jags kept us in it, but also could have won it for us with that free header. Still the best one out there today. Pienaar was shit, Anichebe was shit, Neville was shit, Ossie was hit-and-miss, Baines was below par, Coleman was sketchy, Mirallas and Jelavic did the best they could with the shit service they were given, and Distin was just alright, but helped out immensely with that goal. Good game for Howard, though. Thank fuck.
