  1. agree with your strategy there Peter - against stronger teams - without looking at form or players i just feel we are playing them at the right time - they are so far ahead in the league they can afford to relax and take their foot off the pedal - with a little help from the officials ans a complacent MUnited i see us winning 2-1- we need the win more than them to make the chase for 2nd to 4th more interesting and tense for the fans -
  2. can't have him and Anichebe - too much the same - but i rate him as above average - descent player -
  3. agree that Vic was good - even scored that goal with a defender on his back - carrying him - the first half would have suited Jelavic even more - i am not a fan of his but in certain games like today he could have scored - goalbox scrambles
  4. shoeeee - it would have been a total injustice if we lost this one - our problems started in defensive midfield today - leaked even more than with Neville in it - Gibson had a very poor day - the back 3 had no help from them (Baines was also on attacking duty) Villa had 4 chances on goal of which they converted 3 - i lost count of our chances - Baines was playing too high in the beginning - all 3 their goals came from their right hand side (our left ) there was too much space there today - Baines should not take corners in the opposition's left corner - if they break down their right there is no way Baines can be back in time to help defend - our set pieces were very disappointing against a side who is weak in that department - the ref was poor in defending our players and allowing them to spoil - that one bald linesman was blind i think - the bald one- 2 of their goals might have had an off-side in it - the replays are from bad angles and far off lately - some bad decisions are simply not shown again - Villa must be the weakest side in the PL - we made them look good by sloppy defending starting in the midfield - i still miss a killer instinct in our forwards - how many chances do you want in a game? - why we have to make games against weak opposition such a drama baffles me -
  5. it would be a disaster if we lose this one - Hetinga off - bring Jelavic on to scramble in the crowded box - decisions not going our way today - please don't lose this one Everton - they tried twice and scored both times - we musy have tried 15 times and only scored once -
  6. how does payment with subsequent appearances work ? do you only pay when he plays ? nice for Everton but from a legal point of view it allows one party to controll payment - interesting - would you sell anything and expect payment only when and if the purchaser uses it ? i wont - maybe it works differently - but it could also explain why Everton buys young players and never plays them - something i still don't understand
  7. why did Mr Moyes play Fellaini out of position , and Mirallas and Naismith and Neville and Heitinga ? nobody is married to any position from the midfield his attacking skills could be better utilized since we are experiencing a goal drought - you cannot expect your left back to score most of your goals - and put in the most tackles at the same time- somehow we have to give him more opportunities to score because our strikers have forgotten how to - and he appears to be the best at it- if your left back turns out to be your best striker then maybe we must face the fact and move him closer to the action or get ourselves new strikers -
  8. we cannot even think about losing this one - it is not going to get easier from hereon in - only a convincing win will do for me - if we respect them too much what are we going to do should we be going to Europe next season - kiss the ground the opposition walk on ? no PL side would be happy drawing or losing to Villa at the moment
  9. sorry i just have to record that Goodison was as quiet as a tennis match for most of the game against WestBrom - you could hear the managers and players shouting over the microfones - we better get the spirit going - unless most people think this serious stuff works for us
  10. watched a recording now - good win - we were the better team - Mirallas is not a striker - Fellaini is a midfielder - Neville is a has been - Baines must be tried at def mid to get him closer to the action - he has more bite than our so-called big dog strikers - we received a soft penalty and most of the 50\50 decisions - we were better but need to improve further for the tough matches coming up
  11. if he comes to Everton his first lesson will be all about patience and his second lesson about some more patience since he is only 18 years old
  12. with Neville and Osman as def mids and no Jelavic to come and help the back 4 we better score a lot of goals - - Hopefully Mirallas will play as an attacking mid and not striker which he isn't - Anichebe should be given the striking duties - no Velios - so we just have the two strikers capable of playing - and midfielders doing stand-in duty - and defenders playing as midfielders - very confusing to me - hopefully for the opposition as well
  13. Heitinga and\ or Neville in the midfield against Lukaku , Thomas and Long is looking for trouble
  14. no broadcast in Africa AGAIN tonight - showing the 3 other games with the money sides plaing - that is why Everton will always battle to get supporters here - i am certainle a very endangered species - African Everton supporter - what was that ?- delayed transmission at 5 am tomorrow morning - wont hear much from me till much later - GO Everton make us proud !
  15. tough match this one - both teams need to win to stay ahead of Liverpool - both sides going through a slump - their strikers in slightly better form while our defenders have saved our bacon lately - from most angles it looks like a draw - hope we are hungrier than them for a win - drawing is similat to kissing your cousin - i have had more than enough of that this season - thanks
  16. there have been so many upsets lately maybe we can win the FA Cup without beating a PL side - that would be something which should be within Mr Moye's reach - like South Africa winning the World Cup Rugby in 2004 without playing against any of the top 5 sides in the world at that stage
  17. congratulations Mr Moyes - i love it when a plan comes together ! but honestly sir, was that your plan ? if it was,i surely hope you have a few more like that up your sleeve because the way we are playing lately we will certainly require a few miracles from plyers playing out of position - to get results against better teams than Bolton with your latest subs we are so unpredictable i don't think the players themselves know what is going to happen next - as long as your plan keeps coming together you should get credit due - i appologise for criticizing you so much - but even though you proved me wrong this time - we certainly do not think alike very much - but once again - the proof of the pudding is in the eating - if you keep on winning even your harshest critics will eventually bow to your superior knowledge of the game
  18. hehehehe - Mr Moyes - Mr Defensive against weaker oposition ? obviosly does not know that FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE - not the timid
  19. Guye -so be it - tough situations call for brave decisions - the interests of the team come first before any individual player
  20. Oviedo for Osman and Velios for Jelavic in 2nd half - would have liked to drop Neville for attacking right back as well but thats not possible - go for broke Everton - go for the win and not for the draw - fortune favours the brave Mr Moyes
  21. nothing in Dark Africa either - not even a delayed broadcast - showing the Wigan game live rather - sad
  22. i would like us to go into this match with a positive approach and an attacking side - 2 strikers - Anichebe and Jelavic up front - Velios in the wings to bring on at half time to replace the worst of the two - Mirallas on the left and Fellaini on the right in midfield behind strikers - and Hitzelsperger and Oviedo in Dmid - with Heitinga in for Coleman and Jags moving to right back - we are showing weaker teams far too much respect - if we can't outplay Bolton then we must not even dream of Europe - Moyes and his team must show some aggression and hunger for a win - a killer instinct instead of acting like missionaries we should act like mercenaries - TAKE NO PRISONERS EVERTON !
  23. maybe Lance Armstrong - immagine we could win the PL 7 years in a row with average players before we are caught out
  24. " Watch Out ! We box above our weight." EVERTON "The size of the dog in the fight is not important - it's the size of the fight in the dog that counts!" "Ask us how - we have survived longer than anybody else ."
  25. great report Romey - i suggest the following solutions : sort out our strikeforce out by rotating\combining Jelavic, Anichebe and Velios depending on form and opposition - let the strikers be strikers - if all fails give Naismith a chance from the bench to play behind Jelavic and not wide - playing with 2 strikers up front is not against the rules midfield needs Fellaini in it and Gibson or Oviedo with Pienaar and Mirallas - Osman \ Hitzelsperger as backup - my wildcard is to try Baines ar def mid which brings him closer to where he likes to play - out of position on attack - no Uncle Neville ever again please - especially not with Uncle Osman as partner - practice cones are more of an obstacle than them in midfield - Coleman \ Distan \ Jags | Baines \ Oviedo \ Heitinga should do the job - least of my worries - Howard must work on his weak points - long balls and distribution - and lastly - give the youngsters a go - the energy and unpredictabillity is urgently needed to bring back the spark - look how impressive was the 17 year old Shaw at leftback for Southampton - Neville and Naismith only used as subs if someone has a very bad day -
