All things being equal - we should lose this one 3-1 unless we miss the post, we somehow find a decent ref for a change and lady luck stops ignoring us in which case we could draw 2-2 or even sneak a 3-2 win with an overdue penalty coming our way (hehehehe - if that is possible )
-
Jona you might see it as bitching but i see it as facts - this even out story is a rumour
-
for the umpteenth time we were the better side on the park but got beaten by bad luck (deflection) and BAD REF - this is becoming unbearable - WHEN ARE THINGS GOING TO EVEN OUT ? for pete's sake - we get robbed game after game by bad decisions going against us - i am sure everybody have run out of excuses by now - i feel devastated and robbed once again ! If Moyes just turns the other cheek again i see him in the same light as the wife who gets beaten up every weekend but refuses to lay a charge - damn it enough is enough
-
we certainly don't need another draw - we have had our fair share this season - that is really the difference between this season and last - we have the same number of wins as we had this time last year, but DM has transformed us from a side losing it's majority of games to a side drawing it's majority of games - we need to make the step up and start winning more games - othrwise we are on our way turning into an also ran team after a promising start GO EVERTON - make us proud , you owe us big time
-
i am desperately looking for more urgency and commitment from our players - we seem to have a hanging defense , a strolling midfield and waiting forwards - whereas i would like to see an attacking defense closing strikers down , a pacy midfield catching opposition on the break and searching forwards looking for work instead of waiting for work to come to them - players need to give 100% for 100% of their time on the field - if they are stuffed the bench must be creatively used to keep up the pace and the pressure - that is how you surprize stronger sides - chase them and run them off their feet - fitness and commitment make up for shortages in skill
-
Everton certainly does not have a habit of coming out strong from the change room after the break this season - they seem to deflate at half time for some or other reason - Moyes seems to be scaring them rather than motivating them
-
we have to stop the rot and turn the tide - after a good start Everton has been treading water and even sinking a bit lately - it is all good and well staying positive - but the negative trend needs to be recognized and adressed in a proper fashion - death always has a cause - and we have to find it before it is too late for tears - drifting sideways for too long will land you on the rocks sooner or later- we lack urgency and pace in our game - too much patience leads to procrastination - players seem to pace themselves rather than giving 100% all the time - maybe they know they are not going to be substituted - where is Anichebe? - he has a 100% scoring average in the 2 full games that he played - he cant do worse than Jelavic at this stage
-
Joe what is the use of a bench if they are more useless than the useless players on the pitch ? we create more than enough opportunities but we urgently need a real striker who can not only finish but also create some chances on the ball - especially because the strike rate of our oponents(even the weak ones) against us is so high
-
why did he not replace Jelavic? - who just was not there - and made no impact at all - Velios on with a few minutes to go was too little too late - we must have a plan B - which seems lacking at this stage - some other sides like Liverpool brings on a 17 year old with great success - we must try the youngsters if the old folks get tired or fails to produce
-
Everton Everton - how you managed not to win that one only you and the coach knows - you have just managed to lose my 16 year old son as a supporter - he has gone over to West Brom - i will stay but yesterday was another sad day - we badly lack urgency in all departments - mr Moyes must start having faith in his youngsters because the old guard is stuffing up badly - Jelavic needs a major wake-up call - i would personally drop him for Anichebe at this stage - to call him a striker in his present form is a joke - we cannot carry on drifting - someone must take charge otherwise we will soon be in the bottom half of the table - we have a major uphill battle now - due to our inabillity to beat sides below us - not a good sign - we have to face facts - loyalty has its boundaries - there is a major screw loose at Everton at the moment - we just have to fix it or find someone else to fix it ......
-
i think we will win this one - reason : we are no longer a threat to the top 3 - and Norwich needs to be kept in check after beating 2 top sides - so we will play as well as we always do - but with some assistance from the officials for a change - just to keep us happy so we don't revolt because we have failed to beat 3 bottom sides playing against 12 men - very cynical i know - but that is what officials have made me this season

You don't need money to win trophies .......... err ?
Sideliner replied to Avinalaff's topic in General Everton Discussion
in my opinion the root cause of our problem that the leauge can only be won by a few sides is the existance of the Champions Leauge - that makes it worth while for the few owners with deep pockets to spend zillions competing against each other - the step those teams take up in doing so, makes most of the other sides in the domestic leauge uncompetitive - those clubs would not have spent that money had it not been for the Champions leauge - then the difference between sides would have been less - Spanish , German and Italian leauges have the same prolem with a few elite clubs coming to a knife- fight with guns -
i just refuse to be so loyal a supporter to just accept our poor performance (not a single win) against the 3 weakest sides in the league as good enough and above criticism - only fans happy with Everton being a mid-table side would accept that - and any manager of a top 4 side worth his salt would find it totally unacceptable - and has to sort his side out
-
i would like to see Oviedo and Velios and Anichebe get a decent outing - they have not been given enough gametime to prove themselves - we know what we have on the pitch now but our bench is still a mystery to me - there might be some diamonds lying around - we just need to polish them - because our present main squad is not impressing especially against bottom of the table teams

maybe if he was there Readding would have scored first and it would have been 3-0 - hehehehe - just a joke -
Fellaini - I may have to leave Everton
Sideliner replied to Avinalaff's topic in General Everton Discussion
if we can get that for Fellaine we should jump at it we can buy 3 young stars with that money - to fill in some gaping holes in the squad - we urgently need young blood with more energy - West Brom was very impressive today - everybody ran their socks off the whole game - showing real commitment - and see - Chelsea beaten -
the ref would have received my vote if he could - he definitely won the game - for Reading
-
if i made the mistakes in my job mr Atkinson made in his today they would sue the pants off me - how can referees get away with it - in my eyes mr Atkinson is a dishonest man and should be disgraced for the injustice he allowed to happen today - right in front of his very eyes - shocking shocking shocking beyond comparison - there was nothing wrong with his eyes with the Reading penalty though - i will tell him in his face he is a cheat - so disgusted i am - but no technology must ever ever be allowed in this game - we like being scr&wed mindless by officials we just crave it - i cannot bear to watch it any more - nevermind our bad second half

i understand but then he must not be put in the front line if he has a supporting role to play - have him on the bench to stabalize things if necessary but not to slow things down when we are urgently in need for a touch of speed ...... -

Neville is in the best position to make the decision - the people around him feel too awkward to tell him that he should go - too much respect methinks for player in that position - John Smith did the same thing to the Springboks - just refused to go - when he should have left - the interest of the team weighs more than respect for the individual - but he seems hellbent to hang on till the pawpaw hits the fan - lets see whether he does the honourable thing by just stepping down ........ i doubt it - he seems to be beyond the point of no return -
Redding is ready for the picking - on paper they are ready to be eaten - as usual only the ref , the woodwork and mrs bad luck stands in our way of getting a much needed 3 points to keep ahead of the chasing pack - agree Felli in the middle , Velios behind Jelavic and Oviedo in place of Neville - Pienaar on the left - and for the sake of all Everton supporters we crave an EVERTON OPENING GOAL !!!! pretty please - and we are not easily pleased - an EVERTON CLEAN SHEET is also overdue - thanks in advance
-
i hope Moyesie start the next game without Neville and use him only from the bench towards the end of games to close it out preferebly at right back - the moment he left the park there was a spark in the team - Fellaini is much more dangerous if he moves in from midfield into assisting and heading positions than floating up front and making it easy for defenders to close him down - Pienaar must stay on the left to work magic with Baines - he is ineffective on the right - Naismith deserves another chance but his game must improve otherwise he must be switched with Velios - would like to see Oviedo get more game time as well
-
great report Romey - keep up the good work - hope Everton makes it easy for you
-
a WIN is a WIN - no matter how - turning point of our season - Moysie takes Neville off ( att last ) and within 2 minutes we score 2 goals - i rest my case ........
-
Same prediction as the last 4 matches : All things being equal we should beat them by 1 or 2 goals - UNLESS - an own goal , the post , the ref or some more bad luck gets in our way - shacks - nothing stays the same - really hope its a win and not a loss - come hell or high water we just have to win this one - turning point in our season as well - UP or down - GO EVERTON ! - MAKE US PROUD !
