  1. if that is the case studio analysts should also rather keep quiet because they are making comments without having seen the whole picture - i believe someone reading a match report in the newspaper about Mr Moyes's substitutions in the last 2 games is intitled to his opinion - you never know - he might be right - let us rather concentrate on the content rather than the origen - the Quotes ? information according to some people is more reliable if the source is a recognized person (like Mr Moyes ) and not just a cricket squeaking in the bush
  2. Mr Average for me - consistantly average - trying his heart out but lacks the special touch of everything - too small to play against physical sides with height - and too slow to provide a real spark - all rounder as benchwarmer for me - only play him if someone on the pitch is really having a nightmare game - stop the rot maybe but not clinching the game for us - we need to find someone better to bring on as impact player to break a deadlock - like the one we were in yesterday
  3. " Free thinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without prejudice and without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs , privileges , or beliefs. This state of mind is not common , but it is essential for right thinking ; where it is absent , discussion is apt to become worse than useless." - Leo Tolstoy i do find it strange that some people are of the opinion that a spectator sitting against the ceiling at Goodison is in a better position to form an opinion of the game , the players and the coach than someone sitting somewhere in the bush a thousand miles away with a 3D big screen and close-up replays from different angles
  4. Avinalaff i may be South African and know more about rugby than football - but you do not have to make wine to know whether it is good or bad - simple common sense told most South Africans and other people around the world that Hitler was making a big mistake in the second world war - the fact that he was in charge of his army and had very good advisors certainly did not mean that nobody could critisize him merely because he had more inside knowledge than anybody else - as a South African or any other fan abroad it might just be that we look more objectively at English football because we do not have any inbred loyalty - you must distinguish between criticism which is merely negative without substance and criticism which is aimed at helping the critisized to make the right decision like a warning to a child not to play with a knife

i have openly aired my views about Neville - see my halftime comment - he ads no value whatsoever and looks like a traffic cop at the back directing all balls backwards to the Everton goalbox - on top of that this player with his negative attitude is our captain and gets pulled off the pitch during 2 of our last 3 games - maybe Mr Moyes should start there if he wants positive winning soccer from Everton

without a striker (one which scores goals ) we will remain a toothless bunch - bossing most games like we did again today but unable to deliver the killer blow - mid table performance at most - if Michu had the same number of chances our strikers had today we would have been whipped - even the ref favouring us slightly today could not save us - mr Moyes needs to ring the changes in the starting line -up - we are going nowhere at the moment

Jelavic has most off-sides in whole PL - maybe he is just a poacher ?

    Swansea

Fellaini receives the ball every time with his back to the goal - he turns too slowly - does not really service Jelavic cause he can''t see him with his back to goal

Neville has at most given 1 forward pass the whole game - total waste of space - Fellaini to mid and Anichebe in the middle with Velios on for Jelavic - please
  10. i strongly disagree with the statement that " only the manager and his team can make decisions with any genuine knowledge " - even the best managers make mistakes - just less than the worst ones - all we are saying is that Moyes is making a mistake by persisting with out of form experienced players - winning 1 game out of 9 - without giving promising youngsters a proper chance (not just 10 min against Chelsea) to prove themselves - or at least giving more squad players gametime whenever the opportunity arises - he is too conservative and don't want to take chances - that is why he keeps on playing Neville while youngsters are mainly used as benchwarmers and emergency personell in the last 10 min of a game - we just disagree with his conservative gameplan of always falling back on experience instead of giving potential a fair opportunity - how many more chances does Jelavic want before Velios will get a single proper chance ?
  11. which also makes me wonder even more - why not loan him (or Naismith) to :Leeds rather (lol) - we know what we HAD in Neville , while we do not really know what we HAVE in Barkley or Velios
  12. as i said tenaciousj - maybe you are right - only time will tell who is really right - my point remains - to let him go for 8mil at this stage would be a shame - but maybe i am wrong - i am just honestly saying what i would have done had i been his manager at this stage - he is shining brighter now than Fellaini has ever shone for Everton - personal oppinion as well - let us wait and see .......
  13. maybe you are right tenaciousj - but what makes Fellaini so special then ? also a midfielder with much less goals - would you sell Fellaini or Michu for 10 mil or less ? certainly i won't - i have looked at Michu closely this season - in my fantasy league from the moment i saw his skill level - he is not a poacher like Jellavic - he is great on the ball and has a smooth finish to match - would like to see him with a few better players around him - poaching involves a lot of luck - skill like Bale and Hazard - is like intelligence - you either have it or you don't
  14. Mr Moyes apparrently not only uses playing skills as a measure for selecting his team - which makes me wonder even more about Barkley
  15. the big ? is who do we replace him with on the bench - maybe with another mature loan player from from a big club - surely nobody younger or less experienced - as long as we end up being a stronger squad without him most fans should be happy - let's wait and see
  16. Moyes is not making his playing squad big enough - by not giving more players game time he has painted himself into a corner - 2 or 3 injuries and 1 or 2 transfers and he is caught with his pants on his knees being forced to play acadamy upstarts with no game time experience
  17. fortunately the fantasy league is based on facts and not fantasy otherwise Roony would have had the most points - hehehehehe
  18. Everton wants 30 mil for Fellaini - and Michu has nearly scored as many goals as Van Persie in a much waeker team - Michu has more Fantasy League points than VP if that counts for anything - hehehehe
  19. Daniel - just a few personal opinions on all your questions : - Everton needs the win more than Swansea - we are aiming for Europe - Michu worth 20-25mil - Everton threat - Baines\Pienaar and Mirallas if he plays -threat from Swans their tight defense shown against Chelsea and the speed at which they counter -we could use your goalkeeper and some of your defenders - we have 1 clean sheet the whole season - Everton is less dependent on Fellaini than Swansea is on Michu - we have done well in games where he was missing - i really like the Swansea style of play - you need a stronger midfield to get more possession though - you have a promising young coach who seems to be a nice guy as well , you will surely stay in the PL - Everton has the best side in years - if Michu was playing for us we would have been in the top 3 or even better - because our main striker has not hit form this season - England duty - sorry don't know your youngsters well enough - we certainly have no young players knocking - Osman was our latest cap - Swansea is certainly a side who deserves to be in the PL - you have the ability to upset the Money Clubs like you have done in the Capital One Cup - you need 2 classy midfielders and a slightly better striker to support and or shadow Michu should he get injured and you should be able to run with and even past the big dogs - may the best team win on Saturday and may the officials, the woodwork or bad luck not have the final say
  20. the All Blacks have a favourite saying regarding the question when you should play for them as the nr 1 rugby side in the world : " The question is not whether you are OLD ENOUGH to play test rugby , but much rather whether you are GOOD ENOUGH to play international games ! " Why does a 17 year old Sterling from the reds play for England ? same reason i suspect ........... if Barkley is not ready to play against a 4th league side when you are 4-1 up he is not good enough to be in the squad and then he should not be brought under the impression that he is

    Swansea

Swansea is a very disciplined side with a tight defense and with a nasty bite in Michu up front - Michu is a much better striker than anything Everton has to offer - at least this season - give him half a chance and he hurts you - type of player we badly miss at the moment in Everton- if you can neutralize Michu you are halfway there - the other half is to get through their defense - something which a strong dominating Chelsea could not do - not even with Ba - with our 2 attacking left and right backs we are vulnerable against their breakaway style of play - our main striker misfiring for a while now is a further cause for concern - we will have to play much better up front and at the back than we have been averaging so far this season if we want to beat Swansea - i agree with Avinalaff - " if we don't we wont "
  22. who would you appoint if you could choose betweem Moyes and Dimatteo ?
  23. hehehehe - when Sideliner says something it carries much less weight remember - so if someone famous can express the idea better - it makes common (lol) sense to me to use it - same thing - if Mr moyes says something people are much less inclined to critisize him than they would have done if say mr Boyes said it - hehehe
