great result for us but Moyes totally astounded me with his subs - where is his tactical skill and strategic capabillities ? leaving Neville on the pitch just acting as a midwife the whole time and then bringing on Mr Average Naismith and Mr Ancient Hitzelsberger instead of Velios , Barkly and Duffy needs some serious explanation - if i was Velios and the other youg players i would be urgently looking for a new employer because my current one does not think i am good enough to play against a 4th league side when we are 4-1 up - sorry Mr Moyes you have just lost a few further points in my estimation of you as a top notch coach - we waisted time in the 2nd half playing the long ball and just passing the ball backwards instead of letting our young guns loose on them at full speed - Mr Moyes and our defense better wake up if they want to compete against the best
  2. it will be a sad loss of arguably our best attacking force this season

playing Neville in this game is missing a great opportunity to give young blood experience - he can prove nothing in this game - he can only lose more face - please Moyes just realize Neville is not going to be around forever - but some of our youngsters might end up being thrown to the wolves later if we suddenly have a few injuries - and we never blooded them properly
  4. but if nothing changes the league title seems to go to one of the highest bidders which leaves me with the question - are all the other "normal" clubs then just bridesmaids or wannabe brides ? cause you cant fart against thunder can you ? who say money can't buy everything ? me - because i will never support one of those "Stinking Richie-Rich Man Hobby Clubs" but in the process i have resigned to the fact that my team's trophy cupboard is gathering dust and will carry on doing so untill the playing field somehow gets levelled to allow the teams in each league to compete on a more or less equal footing - i doubt whether this will materialize because there is too much money at stake and the money people also control the media .......... i lift my hat to all the supporters of "normal" sides who keep on battling the giants against all odds - they are the TRUE SUPPORTERS who love their team for what it is and not for what they are winning - GO EVERTON - KICK BUTT BIGTIME !!!!
  5. MR SUAREZ (THE KING OF CHEAT) has just accomplished another disgraceful victory for the Kingdom of Liverpool against poor Mansfield- in another prime example of daylight robbery Mr Suarez has proven beyond reasonable doubt that : 1) cheating and crime nowadays pays - 2)match officials are either blind or on the payroll of criminals - 3)the FA obviously condones this unacceptable conduct as no action is taken during or after a match - if MR Suarez is the acceptable new role model for our younger players we have to hang our heads in shame - because he is nothing less than a total disgrace for our beautiful game
  6. the supporters of Mansfield (who narrowly lost to Liverpool after after another Suarez cheating handball goal )have already implemented your plan Mirallas - they collected money and bought a player or two for the club - so your plan is certainly not far fetched or impractical

Cheltenham is a 4th league side chaps - showing them too much respect is a major mistake - - we should give our whole bench a start and if they do not lead at halftime pull them off and tell them that is why they are always on the bench - regulars will prove nothing by looking impressive against a few farmyards - if we don't drill this side we must immediately stop dreaming of playing in Europe ! End of Story
  8. Somehow a system must be developed whereby it is not possible for a stinking rich moneyspinner \ businessman to buy a trophy or two from his back pocket as some hobby of sorts - The Champions league have contributed to the developement of these super-sides against which us "normal" clubs can't compete and we just end up making up the numbers not because we don't try hard enough but only because we don't have such deep pockets - the present system is a vicious circle elevating the "big" clubs even further above the rest of us - for example why would they broadcast a Liverpool game in stead of an Everton game while Everton is much higher than them on the table ? The FA should introduce a rule that the top 5 teams must get preference with broadcasting rights or alternatively distribute those rights equally amongst all PL sides but to have 5 favourite teams just perpetuates an already suspect system
  9. Mirallas - although you are not always poular - i must say i enjoy your total honesty and determination despite some harsh criticism - there is something about your plan which might work - my twitch would be that a fanclub must be established to raise funds to assist the club in purhasing YOUNG talent and to share in the spoils of an eventual sale thereby creating value for both club and fanclub - some formal agreement needs to be drawn up to structure the venture - the fanclub appoints trustees to do the admin - no burden on the club - 100 000 fans contributing 30 pounds per share per annum gives you 3mil pounds to work with - the rich fans can buy more shares if they want to - you are certainly thinking out of the box - but somehow i like it - i would love to feel like a shareholder in a super striker - same as being a shareholder in a super racehorse (where this already happens )
  10. As a pair Neville and Osman were looking like previous models in the new car showroom - stood out like sore thumbs and probably our weakest link putting pressure on the back 4 and not really servicing the strike force with the energy and speed we need to keep up with the top dogs - for me both belong on the bench as insurance for the young guns who must be willing AND ABLE to go toe to toe with the heavy artillery of the big guns - i really hope the young benchers get some gametime on Monday - we must build for the future and not try and preserve the past past their sell by date
  11. Great win with 2 beautiful goals - their goal involved some luck and bad defending - i think Howard misjudged the kick and would have had it covered if he stayed on his line - Neville and Osman looked like 2 dads playing with the teenagers - out of sorts sortof - Oviedo and Gibson are streets better than those 2 - Fellaini should go back to midfield - that is another option for the Neville\Osman weak link - Jelavic has had enough chances now - he must rest or find his form somewhere else - not in vital games we have to win - Anichebe should now now be our main striker with Velios or Mirallas up front - Baines is a better attacking player than the defensive left back he is playing - playing him def mid will bring him even more into the game - while playing a full on defensive left back like Popov of WestBrom or Henrique of Liverpool might assist in us getting the clean sheets we've forgotten how to attain
  12. all things being equal i would be ecstatic with a win , happy with a draw , and sad should we lose - Newcastle is a much better side than their position on the table indicates - they have recenly scored many goals in their 2 defeats to Man Un and Ars - both games which they could have won - both teams have suspect defenses - us slightly better than them - but on attack especially with Ba they have the edge - going to be a close game - Jelavic holds the key - should he fail to score again he must be rested - because we have not won far to many games because we could not finish the opposition off
  13. we must not concede early - start slowly and absorb the pressure - play with single striker up front and def midfield focusing on assisting back 4 - if we score 1st they will hit us with everything they got and it will be difficult to turn the tide - keep them out in 1st half and then go all out in 2nd to catch them by surprise - slow the game down and try and keep possession - you don't run a good side off the park - you play the waiting game and catch them napping - and then hit them hard - defenders and def mids must be in their faces all the time - never give a good player space or too many options - this is going to be a tough nut to crack and maybe a bridge too far but let us rather never say die - hope the players really believe they CAN WIN this one - then the battle is half won .
  14. all things being equal we should win - but Wigan is probably the best team in the bottom 5 - they have also had a raw deal from officials in their last 2 matches - they are desperate with their backs against the wall - have an uneasy feeling about this one even though on form we should bury them - if the ref plays fair we should pull it through
  15. i just want to congratulate David Moyes for his brave decision to pick his team for WestHam on tactical grounds and not on historical form - i firmly beleive in the principle of horses for courses - there is no such thing as a best team for all games - it all depends who you are facing - his selection was very unpopular but in the end very successfull!! What more do we want ?
  16. we need quick Def mids and backs against Wigan - they play the long ball but along the ground for Kone and Gomez to pounce - i would play Oviedo with Gibson as def mid cause Neville is too slow to intercept the long passes through the middle- then i would bring back Coleman at right back for his speed and attacking options - our left and right backs should not play too deep - that is where Wigan catches you off guard and our def mids should help the back 4 more in defense than they did against WestHam- would also like to see Barkley and Velios given a run - Moyes should be as brave as Steve Clarke from WestBrom and drop his main striker (Long) (Jelavic in our case) when he does not perform and bring him on in 2nd half as impact player after giving other young hungry striker like Velios a chance to prove himself
  17. With Mason in charge i am afraid my prediction is a 1 goal advantage to Wigan at full time - All things being equal on match day should see us winning by a margin of 2 - sad to say but with Everton this season "player number 23" has determined the outcome more than the other 22 on the pitch
  18. that was wrong but at least consistant - this ref forgot his yellow cards at home
  19. Velios for Jelly please !!!!!!!
  20. we need some fresh legs in midfield
  21. he touched it with his upper thigh i think
  22. Neville offffffff please - Oviedo on Jelavic off Velios on
  23. our backs are not getting any cover from DMfielders
  24. this ref is also not protecting us - he has no yellow cards in his pocket
  25. Fellaini deserved what he got but was what he did more dangerous than Suarez,s standing on peoples ankles ? which received no post match sanction whatsoever - about today - if the ref protects us we should score twice - if we are playing against 12 men again i hope for another draw
